Villa Elena

Our family (3 kids: 9,6 and <1) spent two nights at the end of December in Villa Elena. The location is perfect, close to Etna, close to Catania, close to Taormina. The beautiful family house has a lovely garden (from which we got fresh lemons and nuts!) a terrace to relax and look at Mount Etna and large, nicely decorated rooms with beautiful old iron chandeliers. Breakfast was sumptuous with anything one could desire, including a delicious "bucellato" prepared especially for us by Elena's mom. The hospitality we received was extraordinary: Elena went the extra mile, pampering all of us, from the newborn to the parents in many little ways. So did her father, a wonderful doctor who told us stories of Sicily and helped us appreciate the beauty and the history of the region. In many ways, this is one of the best B&B we have ever stayed (and we travel quite a lot!): so, highly recommended!
