Santa Tecla Apartments

Easy transfer, with Tui, took an instant like to the place and the resort itself. The apartment was large, nothing fancy, but clean and bright....... the bed was large and very firm (which we like ) Kitchen had a fridge and small freezer, oven and hob. It's situated behind 3 streets off the main road behind various apartments occupied by local people, so no sea view, but quiet with no traffic noise, which you would get on the seafront. The aircon is excellent, as even in October our week was pretty hot. It's a little hidden away, but there's an excellent Netto a few streets nearer the centre.... plenty of choice including a counter where they will cut chops, steaks etc to order, we had several lovely, and cheap meals in our apartment. It's easy to get around on the ferries or buses to the different villages, and the road towards Salerno is exceptionally beautiful. Amalfi is a short distance away, then Positano, but they're way to busy for us, Maiori is very low key, still very pretty, and best of all, it's a town full of Italian people, going about their business, much more interesting than the tourist towns where the visitors vastly outnumber the locals. We've done all the trips in the area, all we wanted was a quiet relaxing holiday and this place is perfect. The team who run the apartment are close by, very friendly and helpful, we called in several times just to chat.
