This is a hotel that is suitable for a quiet family holiday. The rooms are good, but unfortunately no balconies and the windows are small, which gives an unattractive look. The beach is nearby and is very nice, clean and pleasant. The staff is very kind and the food is good quality. There was also a typical dinner with local specialties. We have good memories of this place.

Good place

We booked touristic package service  in 4* hotel Stella Maris-Italy, Puglia, Marina di Ginosa from 19.08-26.08.2016 for 4 adults and a baby on <2 years. When we arrived in the hotel, we been given rooms 118 and 120 at the second floor. We found, that the rooms are made, when former corridor and WC are fenced with walls at the second and third floor of a former school and first floor WC and corridor were refurbished and stored for recent service.The windows in the rooms are situated on 1.65 m above floor level, they are small and designed for WC and corridors, but not for a hotel room in 4* hotel, with not enough day light, no balcony and open air dryer for swim suits and towels, the shower cabin was used as a swim suits dryer(see attached pics).
We requested hotel’s admin to change our rooms, but they refused, because of busy hotel condition.We have not been informed in preview for the conditions of rooms, the rooms 118 and 120 were not booked by us especially, they been given us randomly upon arrival in the hotel and at the reception they said we just have bad luck

We have occupied rooms with "jail" type windows....

Wonderful place to relax! Exceeded all our expectations. Endless natural beaches, clean, perfectly mantained, incredable sea. The hotel is very clean, tidy, cozy, relaxed atmosphere, the staff is very helpful, always smiling. Food and wine plentiful and very tasty. Special thanks to the DJ, Maurizio, Alberto, Claudio. Exellent! Do not hesitate!

A nice hotel with a beautiful beach nearby. The beach is wide, with fine sand, and crystal clear water. 
The hotel's animators are well trained to entertain kids and adults alike, and create a good atmosphere for a wonderful holiday with their professional skills and relentless energy. They keep the kids amused and busy with activities throughout the day -- on the beach and around the pool. In the evenings, they organize special children's programs featuring popular songs and games. They have inflatable castles, slides and more. 
There is plenty of entertainment for adult guests too, including physical exercise, yoga, and evening parties with dancing. A DJ plays Italian and international hits in the evenings. 

Our only recommendation for improvement is to offer more diversified food. Eating seafood every day may get a bit too repetitive.

We recommend this hotel and would stay there again if given the opportunity in the future.

A wonderful place for a family vacation

The hotel is has spacious room for two children ( 10 & 13 years old) the hotel not at the beach but 5 minutes walking to the beach, car parking is far from the hotel and they charge Euro 20 per day. The hotel is friendly and the receptionist girls are very helpful, they gave me the beach towels. Wifi internet is not working in the room.
