Booked in with booking.com paid with card got refusue the room was told they have no booking for me rang booking.com they conformed i was booked the owner dident want me there for sum reason probley just as well considering the smell from the place def don book here unless you have money to stay someware els when your not left book in like i was and i have to wait 12 days to get my money back

Worst place in waterford

No Reception, had to bang on locked doors to gain access. Given key and told room was upstairs, no information about WiFi or breakfast. No information in room. Dingy decor, stained carpets, taacky furniture, old bed linen which had never seen an iron. Shower room just about adequate but door didn't close. Room wasn't serviced during our stay except for towels left on the floor outside the room. The only thing in its favour was the central location.

Dreadful, would not recommend

Stayed here 2 nights.  Will never go back there. 44 steps to get up to our room, did ask for lower floor,  should have stated this on the web site. Shower shocking, plugs near the floor.No heating.  No breakfast,  yet on the building it says Bed and Breakfast cheap but definitely not cheerful

You get what you pay for. Rooms need some tlc lights not working no showermat. Its the first time I've stayed in a guesthouse were you make your own bed clean towels by request. It is well situated and the breakfast was first rate

FIRST vIsit

All the hotels we're booked and someone suggested Sal's. Was older and outdated. Clean, near everything, small, but how much do you need? I didn't come to Ireland to see fancy hotels. I came to see Ireland.

Exactly what we expected.

paid 180 for 2 rooms . Where to begin ?!! Arrived at 8 to find the place . No parking , No reception , got key off barman . Went to to side door to be greeted by strong smell of disinfectant . minimal security, inside door was unlocked to upstairs accommodation .  44 stairs to climb with luggage. noticed upside down bannister rail on the way up. Thankfully we are quite fit! so climb wasnt too bad .Room was very warm with a strong background noise coming from massive kitchen vent / extractor fan located directly outside the window. If you are nostalgic for old televisions or Marty McFly, you are in luck as it is about 20 years old. Friend asked for a remote in the "reception" downstairs ( the bar) . The reply was they are on their way ( 20 years in transit ?!).  
Dated room with tired furnishings and carpet. Walls need to be repainted . Shower was ok but  found some interesting features such as the strange  towel / tap rail, pint glasses for water , missing light over sink  , loose soap holder  , bathroom door unable to close , brush hairs in the paintwork.  The real horror was the loud noise from the extractor fan all night long -  barely slept a wink.  beds uncomfortable with weird plastic protector underneath the sheets. 
All the guests had the sad  look of resignation  in the morning and glanced knowingly at each other. musty smell from  breakfast room , with a sign beware of the dog on a nearby private room . maybe to deter any complaints from "the residents"!  
180 for 1 night  for 2 rooms - shocking  to the point we had to laugh  or else we would cry . Hilariously bad - felt like we had been mugged.
