An unexpected delight! A very warm welcome from Lorraine who couldn’t have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Beautiful and interesting decor throughout, just amazing.
The most comfortable nights sleep ever, and so peaceful. 
Balcony in our room with views of a paddock and horses.
Breakfast was served in the beautiful dining room, such a choice of breakfast treats. The Irish breakfast was so tasty and beautifully cooked.
I will definitely go back one day.

Host let us arrive early, spoke to us as friends rather than clients. Breakfast was very generous and arrived with a smile in an impressive dining room. Lorraine gave us a lot of area knowledge and was happy to help us get around if we needed. She’s a host with a lot to be proud of, my partner and I just wanted a weekend away from our busy schedules and this place didn’t disappoint very comfortable relaxing without noise pollution. Exactly what was needed for a relaxing getaway. Bus goes directly to Bunratty from Shannon airport and an Uber can take you the rest of the way for €10.

We are on a tour of Ireland by car and have stayed at country houses, hotels and B&Bs so we have a fair idea of what to expect. Rossmanagher House is a lovely place to stay. It's spacious and comfortable. The location is ideal for touring the area being just 7 minutes drive from Bunratty Castle and folk village (worth a visit) and also Durty Nelly's (also worth a visit - lol).  The owner, Lorraine is warm, kind and a good laugh and the breakfast was as simple or comprehensive as you want with nothing being too much trouble (previous review just doesn't fit at all). We loved it and we will be doing another tour of Ireland with Rossmanagher House definitely on our schedule.

The comfortable country house exterior belies the extraordinary rococo (?) decor inside, lovingly assembled by our hostess Lorraine McDonagh. Lorraine, whose personality is another of the attractions here, says: "I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I like it." It's a wow, and a testimony to the old saying that if a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing well. Large rooms, furnished beautifully and extravagantly, comfortable bed, quiet, lavish breakfast room with whatever you'd like to eat, and Lorraine's charm and enthusiasm .... highly recommended.

Such a friendly great host amazing property was staying for my birthday and it was perfect. So quiet and relaxing but short drive to bunratty or limerick. The room made me feel like a celebrity or royalty! So spacious and the breakfast was amazing

Stayed for 2 nights right before we have to evacuate back to USA because of COVID.  Lorraine was great - extremely flexible and responsive as our travel plans kept changing.  Great bed, excellent breakfast, cool house.  Would definitely recommend.

We recently stayed in the King suite with spa for one night. Lorraine is a lovely host and the home was delightful. She has a fire going in the lounge for us to relax. Breakfast was amazing! What a terrific find this place was. Only negative was the bed was not soft and the pillows were very flat. I still give it 5 stars!

A fabulous and spacious B&B in such a beautiful setting. We couldn’t have asked for anything more! Lorraine was so helpful. I’d definitely recommend Rossmanagher House to anyone wanting to stay in this area. 



My first criteria is always: would I stay here again? The answer is absolutely.

The house is large and has some gorgeous common rooms to relax in with a drink, to read, or even play some billiards. It is very spacious and in a lovely country setting. If you like to have a bit of remoteness and peace and quiet, this is a great place to stay. (One note: enter the GPS coordinates found on their website and enter them into your GPS, which we did, and you will have no problem finding the house).  Plenty of parking available, and it is just a short drive away from Bunratty for the castle and Durty Nellie's, and less than 15 minutes away from Shannon airport.

The rooms we had were very, very large (no claustrophobia here), with a good sized bed, sitting area and huge bathrooms. I thought my bed might be a little soft, but I slept very well, and my wife said it was the best sleep she had in her entire 2 1/2 week trip! Again, no cars whizzing by, no trucks, just the sound of nature outside. Very peaceful. Is everything perfect in the rooms? To be honest, as I always try to be, I would say no, as I found that there were a few items that could use a renewal. But then again, I was examining closely and not in a very good mood, as we had a reservation that was made 10 months earlier with another place that cancelled us at the last minute. But, anyway, none of these items really detracted from an absolutely wonderful stay.

We had the continental breakfast, as I did not want to overeat anyway, since we were flying out that morning, but she did provide an option for a full Irish breakfast should we wanted that.

Finally, I do have to say a word about Lorraine, the host. As mentioned, she came to our rescue when another place cancelled us at the last minute. She was a terrific host, providing us with good information when requested, but did not hover or intrude in any way. And she has been super responsive after the fact. A super nice lady. Frankly, she helped save the last night of our vacation, and for that I am very grateful.

Loved every second of our stay! Our room was AMAZING and Lorraine made sure our stay was perfect! During our first trip we stayed at 3 other hotels but on our next visit to Ireland we will only stay here!!!
