What a gem. Really lovely property. Clean and well furnished. Really helpful information in the room for local services. Just off the main road into Skibbereen. Plenty of parking outside. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices. They also have a gorgeous dog Abu (he’s very good and stays out of the way when needed) who added to our experience.

The host couldn’t have been more helpful when our flight was late. 

Overall a really fantastic stay. Thank you.

What a hidden gem.

PK lodge is a bright & spotlessly clean & comfortable family run B&B. It’s located close to Skibereen town on a lovely quiet country lane but just off the main N71 road. 

Our hosts, Pat & Kathleen are a very welcoming & friendly couple who really looked after us. 

There was a real family home feel to the B&B and our room was warm & comfortable with a nice view onto the hillside garden behind. 

Breakfast was freshly cooked & delicious with plenty of options & served in a lovely bright & comfortable breakfast room/lounge. 

Highly recommended for anyone looking for true West Cork hospitality & charm! 

Lovely family run B&B close to Skibereen town. 

Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights with my family at PK Lodge. The room was spacious, spotless and clean. The dining area was lovely and the breakfast was tasty. Fine selection on the menu. During our stay Kathleen couldn't do enough for us plus she was an excellent hostess. If we stay in West Cork again we will hopefully stay here. Couldn't recommend it enough.

My husband and I and our adult twin daughters stayed one night at PK lodge during our self drive tour of Ireland. I felt we were staying in a lovely family home. 

PK lodge is located just outside the town of Skibbereen, with plenty of off road parking. All guest bedrooms were located upstairs and were of a good size. More storage space in the ensuite would be good e.g. shelves or cupboards.

Lovely sitting room and dining area for guests overlooking the front garden.Great breakfast. Kathleen was very attentive and ensured we were well satisfied. She also gave great advise on our day's travels. We decided to take the Healy Pass, as recommended by her, to link up with the Ring of Kerry. It was a beautiful sunny day and driving the Healy Pass ended up being our favourite drive of the holiday with very little tourists and no tour buses.

great B and B with a family home feel

Had cause to travel to Skibbereen at short notice. Was arriving late, leaving early, just needed a place to sleep. PK Lodge is the epitome of Irish Country B&B: a big house on beautifully landscaped gardens, plenty of parking, and a warm, no fuss welcome. Lovely big en-suite room, 5’ bed, nicely furnished, and best of all, warm and cozy. All mod cons as you’d find in any budget hotel including tea & coffee (with a jug of fresh milk and bottle of still water delivered to room). 

Lovely bright dining room for breakfast, full menu and plenty of tea/coffee, toast and nice brown bread. Kathleen was an attentive and personable host. 

A great advert for the traditional Irish B&B!

Textbook Irish B&B

My friend and I were touring Ireland's south west coast, arrived in Skibereen on the N71 from Cork, saw the signs to B&B just before town, arrived in town and looked up suitable sites, this one came up almost top of the list. We were not dissapointed, the host was welcoming the accomodation excellent, beds comfortable, on suite facilities clean well appointed. Breakfast was free choice continental, trad Irish or both. Parking free and spacious. Location quiet and on a side road 2km from Skibereen in the Cork direction. Take care turning in from Cork direction, sharp left back, leave with care due to high speed downhill traffic.
Summary: Excellent all round wish we could have stayed longer!


Wonderfull and Quiet

A lovely welcoming and relaxed home to spend a few days. Very friendly host who was happy to provide advice about the local area and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Very clean, good breakfast, peaceful location but still close to Skibereen town for evening meals out. A great base from which to explore the beautiful West Cork area. Great B&B

We were made to feel very welcome and were well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was lovely and big to accommodate us all. Breakfast was always hot, with a lot of choice! 

We were given a lot of advice as to where to go and find certain things! Altogether a great break and so lucky with the gorgeous weather. We will be returning!

Great base to explore the area from

The properety is just on teh way into Skibereen when coming from Cork City. It is located up a narrrow lane. It is  fine big modern house in a quiet location. We were disappointed to see kitchen equipment such as the hoover and the ironing board in the hallway to our room. The room it's self was a good size but the t.v. was tiny. The unsuite was tight as well. However the bed was comfortable and the room quiet. We were unfortunate to be there when the hosts were away for the first morning so the breakfast choice was very limited. However on teh second morning we were disappointed in the standard of the produce that made up teh full irish breakfast.
