Had an absolute amazing time here we didnt stay in the b&b we stayed in the apartment and it was beautiful we would highly recommend this to anyone.
Are host rose was very nice and welcoming even doe we were late arrivals but better late then never and my god we sure picked a diamond with this place.. what an absolute jem we will certainly be back again thats for sure.
The river shannon literally flows past the sitting room view and there is boat hires in the area and also local taxi service to bring you to the town of Carrick on Shannon

Amazing place

This B & B is situated within a small open estate. It is a short (1km), beautiful walk along the river Shannon to the village of Rooskey itself.
Our room was well-appointed; very clean, peaceful, open outlook. There is a sitting area downstairs with facilities to make hot drinks. 
It is wonderfully peaceful. Rose, the owner, is most helpful and friendly. We did enjoy our stay and if ever we return to that part of Ireland, this is where we will stay!
It was very hot whilst we were there and Rose gave us a large fan without our even having to mention it.

A wonderful slice of the Irish experience.

We found Quay Rest very easily by following the instructions Rose had provided.  As others have said, Rose's home is immaculate.  The room was ensuite and beautiful, with lots of little personal touches - we particularly appreciated the flagon of water!  It was gorgeous to sit by the balcony window - warm inside while watching the sun go down.  The place is well named as we enjoyed the best nights rest in a long time.  My partner is not the best of sleepers but the quiet, safe and cosy atmosphere ensured that even she slept for the full night.  The bed is very good quality.  Rose also has a sitting room with television and tea/coffee facilities - exclusively for the use of guests - which is a lovely touch.  The full breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious and we particularly appreciated the vegetarian options.
The best thing about Quay Rest is Rose herself - a perfectly charming host who provides the warmest of welcomes.  She is very respectful of your space, but is also willing to have a friendly chat or give local advice should you want that.  We certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend Quay Rest.  Terrific value for money - thanks Rose!

Perfect rest at the Quay!

Rose was lovely and helpful. She has a beautiful B&B, very clean and with everything that is required. The house is set in an estate but very close to the river and lovely walks nearby. While we did not have any breakfast the next day as we had a very early start, there was a great selection of cereals etc. I would recommend this B&B

One night stay post a local wedding

We just returned from a two night stay at Quay Rest outside of Longford, Ireland. Rose was a fantastic host and her home was perfect for us. We enjoyed walking along the river, as well as a local pub for dinner.  We highly recommend staying with her if you're in the area or just driving through.
