Quiet, clean and the showers had great water pressure! After so many places I  stayed that you had to run around in to get wet, this place was heaven!! A great location and close to everything. Will definitely stay here again! 

We (me and my friend) booked this accommodation for 2 nights in August 2016.

The B&B is a 10-15 minute walk from O'Connell Street and about 20-25 minute walk to the centre of Dublin (Temple Bar area).

When we arrived there was a note on the front door directing us to the Marian Guesthouse to check in. We met a nice lady (I am not sure if she was the owner - I think Marian and McElroy are owned by the same people) who gave us the key, advised us that breakfast was served in the rooms between 8am and 9am. She then advised us to go back to the B&B, she came and opened the door and let us leave our bags as room was not ready.

While the lady owner was super friendly and had a great sense of humour, from the outset I felt this place hadn't really made it into the 21st Century. I think they stopped somewhere 60`s/70`s
When we came back late afternoon room was ready. The room itself was very nice and clean, a sink in the corner, but a really tiny TV! We didn't watch TV anyways as we were too busy sightseeing.
The room was large, with very tall, beautiful ceilings. Very homely, and i loved lying on the bed in the morning looking out the huge windows. Room was clean, bedding fresh and clean, although we did find the bed to be a little creaky, it was still very comfortable. Also a sink and fresh towels in our room.
Having a look around the room it was clear that the management don't pay much attention to maintenance or cleanliness. All the suites are decorated in 1980's salmon pink including the bedspread. The miniature 1990's box TV was on the top of a cupboard, broken and with a taped up useless remote. The lightbulb above the sink was blown.

The shared shower was fantastically powerful but let down by a dirty toilet / tiled walls.
Breakfast was served to our room just before 9am by a nice young girl. Hot toast, cornflakes, tea, coffee and orange juice - it was plenty to set us up for the day. On the second day, it was served just after 9am. So obviously no dining room nor proper chair in the bedroom so dining consisted of balancing a tray on my lap perched on the edge of the bed.
In this day and age when you're spending £100 a night it might be fitting to serve some sort of cooked breakfast.

When we checked out Sunday morning we were allowed to leave our bags for a day as we had flight later in the evening

We had an excellent visit and would recommend this place to anyone. It was the next price-up from a hostel and we were amazed at how nice and quiet area it is. Couldn't asked for a better place to stay for short weekend break.

Had a couple of days here in October. The host was lovely. It was a bit like spending a weekend at your mum's house. She wakes you between 8-9 and delivers a nice continental breakfast to your bedroom. The bedroom was dated but clean, and the shared showers and toilet the same. The WiFi was very reliable. Great location, 10 minute walk from the city centre, and I had a fantastic nights sleep here. Would stay again.

Kindly checkin, accomodation near the city center with free  and stable wifi connection. Rooms with shared bathroom were clean and comfortable. Including breakfast (toasts, coffee/tea, cornflakes etc).

When we originally booked, there was only shared bathroom facilities and I left a note on the booking if there was a cancellation and a private bathroom became available, we would love to have it.  Unfortunately, there hadn't been a cancellation which wasn't a big problem.  We had room 9 which was at the top of the building.

The room is not cleaned during your stay, but if you needed anything, you can ask the breakfast girl.

It was a good room for our stay, clean, not far from the city and good breakfast.

My Granddaughter and I stayed for 3 nights.  The accommodations were very comfortable.  It was clean and inviting.  The hostess was super nice and her breakfast very tasty.  Would go back and would recommend to others
