The B&B is located a bit outside the (small) centre of Glengarriff, but it's a quiet and wonderful place. We stayed here for two nights walking the Beara Way. Imelda was a very friendly and caring host. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delicious.

Booked 2 rooms and stayed 2 nights. Imelda is the  owner and  is terrific. Made us feel right at home. We had a great chat and laugh. Imelda gave us loads of information on where to visit for scenery, dining and entertainment. The rooms were great. Comfortable beds. Nice and clean. WiFi and TV in rooms. Nice shower and bathrooms. Both rooms had lovely views. Very quiet and peaceful and only a very short distance to the main street for pubs and restaurants. The breakfast wasterrific.

Set in a quiet location in Glengarriff, this B&B provided the perfect location for our second stay there. The highlight is the welcome and help from the owner, Imelda, who made us feel very welcome and provided secure storage for our bikes as we were touring by bike. Excellent breakfast with everything we wanted and the rooms were very comfy and quiet. It is a short walk from the centre of Glengarriff where there are restaurants and pubs. We were delighted to return to this B&B and will use again in the future.

My sister and I had a wonderful experience staying with Imelda at Island View House. The house is immaculately  clean . Our room had a view of the hills/ mountain. A much needed tea was served on our arrival. The breakfast was delicious. The first morning I had oatmeal with fresh fruit and yogurt followed by French toast.Delicious!
The next day I had the full Irish Breakfast. I would Definitely stay  there again. Ten minute walk to center of town

My partner and I spent 3 nights at island view b&b in Glengarriff - it is definitely the best b&b we  stayed in during our staycation this summer.  The breakfast was amazing and with so many different choices (i loved the breakfast cup and the french toast )  The house is spotless and our bedroom was beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed.    Imelda is a perfect host and we look forward to returning.  Highly recommend

We stayed at Island View while doing the Tour de Beara. Three of us stayed in a triple room which was perfect. Room was clean and comfortable and perfect four our two night stay. House is ideally located just next to the Eccles Hotel with good parking and an ideal place to stay if doing the cycle. Imelda was a great host and gave us a great breakfast earlier than the usual slot on the morning of the cycle. We stayed in the Eccles Hotel the previous year and would happily stay in the Island View over the hotel in future based on comfort and value for money.

We stayed here for a weekend, with our three boys. It was absolutely fabulous, the room was such a high standard. Imelda our host produced a gorgeous home cooked breakfast to an amazing standard and selection. I couldn’t recommend the Island View highly enough.

Stayed at Island view while doing the Tour de Beara last weekend.  The house is in a nice quiet lane just beside the Eccles Hotel with a secure shed to keep the bikes overnight.  Had the power breakfast on Saturday at the early time of 7.30  Porridge Fruit and Yogurt.   The best Porridge i have ever tasted. 
Very clean spacious room with a good power shower.  Fantastic Sunday morning Irish Breakfast was served with lots of coffee and fresh Brown Bread.
Imelda is super friendly and genuinely, a really nice person.  Looking forward to staying here again on my next trip to Glengarriff.

Our family of 5 stayed at Island View House for 12 nights while visiting with family in the area.  The location is great - within walking distance to the village of Glengarriff, plus many other local attractions are within a short drive.  The rooms were clean, bright and very comfortable.  Imelda was a great host and made us feel right at home.  The breakfasts were fantastic with a nice variety to choose from - including vegan specialties upon request, which was fantastic!  It truly felt like our home away from home.  Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed for a whole week in this property. One of the kindest hosts, warmest and cosiest B&B I've ever been in. Imelda was remarkable...the chats, the food, the lovely energy all give you a real sense of what West Cork people and real Irish hospitality are like. The house is located up a small hill and you have lovely views of the island and pier. It is very comfortable, even if it's just to stay in and read a book in the living room looking out the window. It is also located between the Bamboo Park and the main village (all walking distance from the house). You can also walk to the ferry and take the tour to Garinish island or walk to the Woodland Reserve and spend the day discovering some of the best forest trails you'll ever see. Truly a very special place, a lovely refuge away from the city.
