Ramada Sulaymaniyah

We stayed in the Motel Mad for 2 weeks in June, 2013. We could not have been happier with this lovely hotel. It is located just a short walk from the shopping mall, and there is also a small grocer right next door if you want to pick up some snacks for the room. The people who run the hotel at the front desk were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating to our group of 7 visiting Suli from the USA. Our room was on the 2nd floor and was like having our own efficiency apartment. You enter into a large room, with a fully stocked (dishes, tea kettle, silverware, water) kitchenette. This area has a small stovetop, microwave, refrigerator and large sink. The bath area off the kitchen is very spacious with a washing sink, western (throne) toilet) and very large step in shower with fancy showerheads and clear glass doors. There is also a livingroom/lounging area with a comfortable sofa, chairs, flat screen tv and a step out balcony area. The large bedroom is separate with two queen beds, a wall of closets, ironing board, iron, and dresser. There is a very efficient and quiet air conditioner unit in each room so we were very comfortable in the room in very hot summer weather. A nice buffet breakfast was included each morning and included freshly baked bread, an assortment of cheeses, hot homemade lentil soup, hard boiled or fried eggs, Mediterranean olives, yogurt, coffee, tea, and orange juice. Staying here was like having our own little apartment and if we visit again, we will of course stay here. Rates were very reasonable for what we received and everything was very clean and lovely. Wi-Fi is available if you need it also.
