23 reviewsThe best thing about Villa Penelopy is its location. Just off "eat street" and only metres away from restaurants like Ultimo. There were 5 of us staying and there was ample space. If you are going to be out and about most of the time, there is enough room to lounge around and relax in comfort on your return. I think I would be concerned if there were small children staying there as you would be having to watch them constantly by the pool. The indoor lounge/dining room was large, adequate and nicely decorated. The open kitchen area was fine for us as we had no intention of cooking, just use it for our drinks and nibbles - there are far too many fabulous restaurants nearby to be wanting to cook. We found The Coffee Library just around the corner to be perfect for breakfast. The one thing I felt letting this place down is the bathrooms. The bathroom was so outdated and a mish mash of things. You could see where bits had been removed from the shower area and the holes in the tiles not filled it. Soap supplied at the basin but not in the shower. A good 'freshen up' would do it wonders as well as finding a way to lighten things up a bit. Although Villa Penelopy is amongst a lot of the hustle and bustle, we had no issue with noise. Weighing everything up, for the price and location, this is a really good choice if you are staying with friends or adult family.
