My family camped with the motorhome here on our last night 2 nights in Iceland.    Campers can use the great hostel kitchen until 10:00pm.  They have very clean and free showers and laundry areas.  There is also a free/share food shelf in the kitchen.  We decided to stay here for the ease of cooking and getting the motorhome ready to return as well as the easy access to bus #1 into Reykjavik.  The bus station is about a 12 minute walk away and the bus takes about 20 minutes into the city.  The staff was very friendly.

Great Camping

We stayed at the campsite of this hostel the first and the last night of our trip in Iceland. The staff was really friendly and we were allowed to use the kitchen facilities of the hostel. Showers smell like egg but it is normal in Iceland. It is located in a really quiet neighbourhood and has a nice park next to it. Reykjavik city center is located about 10 min by car from there.

Small but nice campsite

This hostel was extremely clean. Although the room was small, it was functional. Bathrooms located outside rooms, but also clean. Good location, about 10 minutes’ drive from downtown Reykjavík and 40 minutes from the airport.

Clean & convenient

Stayed here for a few nights in order to facilitate visits to Reykjavik. Site was nice and staff very her friendly. Simple accommodation, perfect for our needs. I was also a big fan of the "free food" idea (:

The kitchen was well equipped compared to a lot of other campsites in Iceland. The bathrooms were nice and clean, but there could have been more of them. The location is perfect if you are coming from the airport on your way to Reykjavík.
