Rio Santiago Nature Resort

We stayed here for 5 nights from 28th January 2018. Our bungalow which was in an idyllic position was very clean and comfortable with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, lounge, dining area and kitchenette. We were made very welcome by Alex and his staff. The food was excellent with a varied menu which was prepared just as we prefer it without added salt or sugar. We ate our meals watching the humming birds visiting the feeders during the day and in the evening bats came to the feeders. The fruit drinks were delicious. Alex is a super bird guide and he showed us many bird species, some of which were new to us. An added bonus to staying here is the chance to see and meet Santiaga, the Margay who was taken as a small kitten to Jenny at the lodge when Santiaga's mother had been killed by a dog. I would recommend a stay at Rio Santiago without any hesitation and I look forward to a return visit.
