Pefnos is a well equipped, clean apartment in a beautiful garden amidst the family's olive Groves. It is a good size and its large terrace has wonderful vies of the sea and mountains. The sea is just a few minutes walk away with the little harbour and small beach of Agios Dimitrios and bays for swimming, and the larger Patazi beach (which still feels local and was not crowded when we were there). With a longer stroll you come to the centre of Agios Nikolaos with its active a beautiful little fishing harbour, several tavernas, and shops. Alekos and Ann are very welcoming and generous hosts who have extensive local knowledge and they contributed greatly to our having a really wonderful holiday. Adrian and Diane, Suffolk, UK.

Perfect location , quiet but near to Agios Nikolaos - Dimitrios and Stoupa .
Beaches , restaurants only a short distance by foot or by  bikes ( frree to use ) 
Beautiful gardens and flowers , a peaceful paradise !

Wonderful location

Had a brilliant time at Alekos & Annas beautiful villa- travelled with my wife, our son and his fiancee & stayed in the 4 bed larger accommodation.
A hire car from Kalamata Airport is a  absolute must- takes about 1 hour 20 mins and dont forget your European Satnav and driving licence.
Villa Pefnos appeared on my TomTom however can also be found on Google maps on your phone.
Apart from getting to & from the airport, the hire car also allows you the freedom to explore local beaches and trips to the well stocked and reasonably priced supermarkets.
A 5 min walk from Villa Pefnos takes you to the beautiful Agios Dimitrios Bay where we began most mornings with a swim across and back- great start to the day & stunning scenery. There are bikes at the Villa to venture further afield and we rode to Stoupa one day which has a fantastic sandy beach and lots of local bars/restaurant.
On other days we drove there (10 mins) and made use of the large free car park by the church & 5 mins walk to the beach.
Lots of local bars have their own sunbeds which they let us use free provided we bought drinks off them- this however was June and think you may have to pay in busier July/August?
Bring or buy snorkels to make the most of the crystal clear waters.
You can hire a 4 person motorised boat from Stoupa for 4hrs x €100 which was great value and allowed us to explore the coast.
There is also a large tourist ferry boat (Thurs & Sat?) which docks at Stoupa however we didn't try that- sets off 10am and costs around €40 pp?
There is another lovely beach at Kalogria just past Stoupa- road parking and walk down.
There is stony beach with sunbeds on and bar only a 5 mins walk from the villa however only visited once after we found the other beautiful sandy beaches!
Closer to home Agios Nikolas harbour has some lovely bars and restaurants plus a lovely ice cream bar run by Alekos brother- Leonardos.
His other brother Mani runs the local bike shop & will sort any problems out for you!
Our favourite restaurant was Vesuvius- past Leonardos and up a short hill to far side of the harbour.
Our accommodation was excellent- fully functioning kitchen, TV, wifi & aircon.
Large parking area as you drive in to park your car and lots of local garages for fuel.
Alekos & Anna were there when we visited and fantastic hosts.
We haven't been to Greece for years but will definitely visit again.
Weather was 30 deg plus every day- it does get even hotter in July & Aug though!
I think this holiday is ideal for couples and older travellers who will appreciate the stunning location and be able to relax and unwind. 
The Villa backs onto a large mountain range for those who like walking.
Having driven automatic cars for years, I wasn't looking forward to a left hand drive manual hire car in a foreign country!
Saying that, the roads are generally very good and local drivers relaxed and patient so you very quickly feel at ease driving.
My son who has never driven abroad & was on the insurance even took the car out on his own.
Alekos & Anna were fantastic hosts and helped with any queries or questions we had.
Alekos lived locally so knows the area inside out- Anna is English and speaks Greek aswell.

Fantastic week at Villa Pefnos

Having arrived in pouring rain we were very pleased to see the wonderful sea view.  The villa has lots of room and comfy sofa, there is also a full size cooked but with a wonderful taverna with in walking distance who wants to cook. The bed was very comfy and the window looked on to the garden. The only thing I would say the bathroom could do with a bit more light but that apart there was nothing we didn't have. Even to plug adaptors in case you forgot yours, also a plug that takes english plugs.  A very well thought out villa and a wonderful holiday was has by us, we will return.Thank you.

Amazing view.

Had another all too brief week here.
Nice to see the almost ready to harvest olive trees this time.
And appreciated the wi fi and new patio furniture. House was clean and comfortable as before.
Plan to return next year to do more swimming and walking.
Can also recommend Elli's restaurant in Ag Nik, opposite the Square..good food on their, Monday, music night.

Our family from USA came to Villa Pefnos and rented both apartments. 
Excellent facilities, great terraces for barbecues, Al fresco eating or a quiet drink watching the sunset. Beds very comfortable and well equipped kitchens.
Good service from  the people who looked after the apartments.
Would recommend Villa Pefnos for families.

Family Reunion June 2015

We had a great time at Villa Pefnos- such a magical place! We instantly felt at home. You instantly feel that it is a home not just a hotel. Ideal spot for exploring the surrounding area. 3 days were just too short and we fell in love with the area.
