Basic guest house with clean rooms and great location for Skiathos town. You get what you pay for - no frills but comfortable and Michael is a great host! Picks up from airport, very helpful and nice staff. Had a great week!

Friendly Fresh Rooms

In our particular case, we weren't looking for a place to stay in Skiathos for anything more than just one evening as we were on our way to a family home on the island of Alonnisos. Bottom line, we needed a clean, safe, and cost-effective place that was near to port so that we could catch our ferry the next day. In the past we stayed several times at a hotel near the airport, however this year the price was way too high (i.e., 100 Euros) for just a one night stay after a late evening arrival. So, I came across information about Fresh Rooms and booked a reservation. The owner/manager Michalis (Michael) was very friendly and hospitable. The room itself was fairly basic but clean and with AC as well. There was no Wi-Fi but I really didn't care since we would only be there a short time. We didn't have a "view" but that didn't matter to us either. The price at the time (mid-July) was 50 Euros, which was just fine. Note also that the place is up on a hill so there are some steps to climb. We really liked the location because it took us just five minutes to walk to the center of the port that evening for dinner. The next morning Michalis was kind enough to drive us to the port since we had the suitcases to deal with, and we really appreciated that. Bottom line, in our case this was a great place to stay based on our itinerary as pass-through travelers. We would definitely stay there again on our way to Alonnisos based on this experience. 

Ideal solution for passing through Skiathos

We stayed in fresh studios last September. Short break for 2- young couple, no kids. We booked directly with Michael via friends from Fresh Cafe. Very easy to do. (4th visit to the island, 2nd that year)

We were met at the airport,despite an 8 hour delay. Shown to our room. 

Typically Greek, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen area- great size, small balcony area. Very, very clean. 

Great price to stay. Loved the location. 
Although there are steps/hills as it's set behind the main strip on the harbour. This was no problem for us, but could be for others. 

Saw Michael a few times around the town, always friendly. We were also given a lift back to the airport. 

Highly recommended 

Tip: these are apartments, so no pool. However- the tennis club is a 5 minute walk  away as is the oasis hotel -Both places are happy for you to use their facilities. 

Awesome Location, easy stay 

Michael, the owner, is a very nice man, he was a great communicator and even gifted us some Greek soaps. Saying that, we can't give this place a good review unfortunately......after reading the ad we were expecting water views, but were given a dark & dingy room at the back of a house with no water view or balcony, we'd been so looking forward to that on our last night in Greece! Also, the ad promised a coffee/tea maker but there wasn't one, and the room itself was very noisy with club music playing (all night) and people coming home from the clubs at all hours chatting in the laneway outside our window. We didn't get any sleep. If you want to book here, make sure you get a room with water views, and double check there is a balcony, then you might have a happier time than we did here.

Not the happiest experience

Lovely host Michaelis was waiting at airport for us as agreed.
Good sized room and  big bathroom ( no hairdryer), very small balcony with great view of the port. 
Not for the unfit as a fair amount of steps, a little below the windmill ( not above as someone said) directly behind the San Remo hotel.
Facilties to store cases and have a  shower before being driven back to airport by host.
Room kept clean and a couple of times we had been left fresh fruit in our room which was a nice touch. 
Our only really negative comment would be about the noise - it was incredibly loud from about 2am to after 6 am from the ridiculously loud music from the nightclubs on clubstrip.
These are only open mid-July to Mid-August, so anyone going at other times shouldn't have this problem.
Would we go again? In low season - yes. In high season - no.
