Aiora Aqua Resort

I booked this after reading mainly positive reviews and the amenities onsite. Then before I travelled the reviews had got alot more negative and gave me cause for concern. Those concerns were very quickly quelled on arrival. Overall we had a lovely stay and will definitely return. Rooms - we stayed in a basic room. They are basic. Next time I would pay extra to stay in a better room. It was ok but a little small, the bathroom in particular. No issues with noise, kept clean, towels changed regularly and air con very effective. Food - the best all inclusive food I’ve ever experienced across Europe. Granted, if you’re looking for mass produced fast food and standard all inclusive produce this isn’t the hotel for you. The choice was limited however even as a fussy vegetarian I never struggled to find something to eat and we stayed for two weeks. Fresh Greek salad, tzatziki and local Greek dishes every day were a real treat. The desserts were probably the worst part but if they had made baklava every day I would have been delighted. Maybe ice cream at dinner for the kids would be a nice option too. Good range of themed nights as well. The soft drinks weren’t great, the coke light was hit and miss depending what bar you got it, we bought our own water as the hotel water wasn’t nice but it’s cheap so it didn’t bother wasn’t Amenities - this is the real sell for me. Never experienced a hotel of this size with so much on site. The gym is great. Yes it’s extra charge to use but it’s basically a private gym and well equipped. The addition of heavier dumbbells would make it perfect. The water park was fantastic. Never busy and kids happy to play in there all day. Very peaceful and relaxed atmosphere. Staff - they were all lovely, nothing too much trouble and very friendly and welcoming. Location- the village is quiet, there’s not much to do but buses to Lindos/pefkos are cheap and run regularly. Worth a visit. Some things of note are that the hotel doesn’t provide beach towels but they will give you a discount on ones at the shop next door. Also the hotel provide a fantastic laundry service for 10 euros for a big bag. Really good deal. Overall we had an amazing time and cannot wait to come back. Highly recommend. Amazing place and a few tweaks and it would be perfect.
