Troulakis Beach Hotel

We travelled as a family of six with children and my parents and received a warm welcome on arrival. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, always smiling and treated us as part of their family. If there was anything we needed, nothing ever was a problem including organising for us a taxi or sending us photos of the room ahead of our stay to assure us we have chosen the right accommodation. The room we have received was very spacious, had everything we needed and was cleaned daily. Beds were very comfortable. It had a lovely terrace where we enjoyed our family time, just steps away from the pool that was warm and big enough for my 9 &12 years old children to spend whole days playing in it. Plenty of sunbeds available both around the pool and on the beach 🏝 which you could see from the terrace/ balcony. The hotel is literally on the beach with plenty of comfortable sunbeds and you can order a drink directly from there 😎 The beach was lovely, it was sandy with an easy access to the sea and a little pier. We were swimming there every day. Walking along the sea, I could tell it was the best beach in the area. The hotel has a restaurant/ bar on the beach. The food is absolutely delicious, staff super friendly, boss Kostas makes the evenings truly Greek playing on his grandad’s bouzouki. Stunning views and the best sunsets (possibly) in the whole Crete are a bonus! The location was great for a little shopping and travelling around West Crete as well as relaxing on the beach. Airport is only 30 minutes drive away but we haven’t heard a single plane. Felt very relaxing and safe. We travelled during COVID-19 but felt very safe at all times and the place (both the hotel and the town) felt safe, clean and not overcrowded.
