What a fabulous 11-night holiday we had. This is a fantastic hotel in a very quiet location (which we knew about before arriving) and was booked to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Despite our late arrival, a lovely spread of food was provided together with a cold bottle of fizz and anniversary card - a really nice touch.

Great food, large drink selection, huge bedroom, lovely sea view, wonderful service from every member of staff, spotlessly clean.

Nothing to complain about and a return visit is highly likely.

Really difficult to find anything negative or even neutral for this hotel. The all inclusive plus is incredibly good value. The staff are amazing, hotel is spotless. Pool is cold and refreshing and you can literally roll onto the amazing beach, which is shallow out for a good distance. Top highlight was the food, the selection was enormous and quality fantastic. Themed nights were a great idea and along with the service and quality of the drinks I cannot recommend this hotel enough.

We have been enthusiastically holidaying all over Greece both the islands and the mainland for over 30 years, twice a year.
Our 2nd holiday this year we very much enjoyed spending at Portes Lithos Luxury resort from 23 September to 6 October. After arriving by car, we were very kindly received at reception. After lunch, we were immediately assigned our room (2102) with communal pool. The hotel is still impeccably beautiful after 6 years! 
We had the Ultra All-inclusive formula, which is really TOP!  The complex exudes outstanding cleanliness and is very relaxing. The cuisine and service in the restaurant are sublime. Incredible offer and variety in the food on offer, breakfast, lunch and dinner! 
If you are looking for a really relaxing hotel with TOP service, do not hesitate, highly recommended!
A big thanks to the manager of the restaurant, the reception, the pool bar, the kitchen, the waiters and the staff for the maintenance of the rooms!

My wife and I stayed at Portes Lithos Luxury Resort in 2022 and enjoyed it so much we said we would return. We have just got back from 14nights and again enjoyed the resort even more, so much that we have already booked for next year.

Now I realise this hotel will not suit everyone. So please do your homework and research before you book. Look at its position on Google maps, the hotel is not near any shops, bars or other entertainment. All you have is miles of sandy beach which you can walk along passed other hotels. They do have a free mini bus to the local town which is nice and you can book many trips out to places of interest with the hotel or your holiday rep. You can also hire a car from there to visit many of the villages and resorts along the coast.

We liked it so much because of the peaceful relaxing atmosphere the place has. The staff are so helpful, friendly and smiling, anything you are not sure of or want help with just ask, you won’t be ignored. The hotel is relatively new and is very attractively built of limestone, right on the beach which has glorious views up and down the coast and magnificent sunsets. A mix of guests, UK and Ireland, German, French, Greek and other EU countries.
I have seen some previous reviews which complain about the food. However, we found more than enough to suit our tastes. We also were aware that the various chefs were more than happy to discuss any allergy or special needs. If you stay for 7 nights you can also eat a lunch or late afternoon meal at the Skinos Restaurant but prepare to leave stuffed! Themed nights also added variety BBQ, Greek, Fish, Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican. Really was a vast choice.  
 
We had upgraded to a loft suite which was something different mainly because we wanted a beach front room, it was a little extravagant but gave us stunning views of the ocean and coast. Cleaning staff did a good job, changing towels as required and leaving the room spotless. Beach and pool towels readily available as well from the lifeguards. We also had All Inclusive, we like to drink on holiday, we are there to relax, beer, wine, cocktails prosecco, water juices soft drinks all included not all top brands but some were. We calculated we saved by all inclusive, if you don’t drink then maybe you won’t.  

I must thank some of the staff all helpful friendly and smiling, Giota at reception, Aphrodite, Mr Giannis, Apostolina, Mary, Vladka, Paulus and all the bar staff including Kristo Pavlos and Antonis. There were others but sadly I did not get their names.

This was our second visit to Portes Lithos, and once again, our family of three had an amazing time. The rooms were immaculate, and the swim-up pool just outside our room provided a perfect, more private alternative to the main pool area. The hotel truly offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday, and the fact that it's only a 40-minute drive from the airport is an added bonus.

The highlight for us, yet again, was the incredibly warm welcome and professionalism from Maître D Giannis and his entire team, both in the main restaurant and the poolside restaurant. They are a wonderful group, always attentive and made us feel so well taken care of during our week-long stay. I honestly wish every hotel had a Giannis!

The food was fantastic; every evening offered a new variety of dishes, and there was always plenty available, no matter how late we dined.

However, there are some areas for improvement, specifically with the Front of House staff. While my arrival was handled warmly and efficiently, my husband, who arrived later due to a delayed flight, had a much different experience. He wasn’t offered help with his luggage and was simply handed a key and told where the room was. After such a long journey, this wasn’t the welcome he had expected.

Additionally, upon checking out, I was disappointed that the staff didn’t ask how our stay had been or whether we enjoyed our holiday. This left us feeling a bit underwhelmed, especially since it was the final interaction we had with the hotel.

Despite these small issues, we still had a wonderful time and would recommend Portes Lithos, especially for the exceptional service from Giannis and his team.

We stayed here as a family in August 2023.

The hotel reception and guest relations personnel were consistently cordial and of great assistance.

The hotel's design is utterly breathtaking - comfortable and lot of plants and shade, very clean and carefully maintained.  Our room was beachfront oriented. It was spacious, providing ample area for storage. Rooms were very clean; neither dust nor grit were present. Each room features a television equipped with an extensive selection of channels and pertinent hotel details. Drinks and snack were refilled daily.

The choice of food and drinks in the restaurant was diverse, food was delicious and adapted to fulfill eating habits of tourist coming from different European countries. Staff we encountered was cordial and eager to assist.

The shore is adjacent to the hotel and is immaculate. At the far right end of the proprietary beach one can rent many of the water sport equipment (jet ski, pedalo, SUP board, jet nozzles, etc...) All-inclusive guests are entitled to a gratis 1/2 hour of pedalo or stand up paddle board. Nearby beach bar offers a variety of snacks, ice creams and drinks. Nearby pool was spotless.

Beach is cleaned every night. You get beach towels in the room and effectively change it every day by just leaving them at the cleaning ladies. Minor issue is "reservation" of loungers. Some guests leave their belongings early morning and appear at the beach quite later which I think for the hotel price range is not acceptable.

All in all, would be happy to come again here with my family.


The hotel's design is absolutely stunning: lots of plants and airy and overall the place is well kept.
We stayed here as a family in a sharing pool room. The room had a good size, lots of space for storage. There could be a few more hangers in the room. Cleaning was perfect, no dust or sand in the rooms. Every room has a tv with lots of channels and hotel information.
The beach is really next to the hotel, very clean and with lots of loungers.
Staying in an all inclusive package, you can book a pedalo every day for 20 minutes for free.
The hotel is rather small, not crowded, very well suited for families.
The service at the bars and restaurants was very good, veryeone you meet is very nice and ready to help.

Food was ok, the menu would change every day, but felt a bit repetitive after some time.

Travelers need to be aware that the hotel is in the middel of nowhere, no shops or restaurants around. The hotel offers free shuttels to the 2 nearby cities, which quite frankly are not so nice or interesting.

The things that bothered us the most, and other guests, was that sunloungers at the pool were reserved quite early in the morning and guest would only show up in the late afternoon (or not at all).  This meant that when arriving at 8-9, there was no place left. This would happen regularly. 
We saw some guests complaining, but the hotel only gave them the excuse that people would leave their private stuff and that they couldnt do anything. Frankly, this is not true, we stayed at other places where the no-reservation rule was enforced and things were removed from the loungers.
A hotel of that standard should enforce this rule.

Entertainment was also quite dull, there were only a few evenings with live music. However the cocktails were very nice.
We absolutely loved the spa and can only recommend getting a treatment.

The hotel staff at reception and guest relations were truly helpful and always friendly.


We stayed here last week, first time in Greece and so glad we picked here. Absolutely the best holiday we've ever had. The staff are amazing, every one of them. Special thanks and mention to Vladka, Christina and Christos in the Restaurant and Sofia at Reception. The food is varied, hot and very tasty, the rooms, as all the resort are immaculate. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is very good. There is nothing at all negative to say about Portes Lithos, can't wait to go back. Thank you, Giannis you have a great team and should be proud of every one, see you next year x

Fortunately this hotel was able to accomodate us at very short notice after our visit to the Pelion was cancelled 3 days before our flight because of a storm causing serious damage to the area. The first alternative we had booked was something of a disaster so we didn’t stay but this was a calm oasis . 
It was beautifully kept, everything spotlessly clean  including the beach.
The staff were without exception delightful, particularly the restaurant staff, under the supervision of the eagle eyed restaurant manager Yiannis.
The food in our opinion was excellent, well prepared and so tasty. The only slight negative were the jams at breakfast weren’t up to the standard of the honeycomb honey.
It would be nice if the a la carte restaurant was open in the evenings as we don’t like to eat much at lunchtime.
We took the all inclusive package which we considered to be good value.
Not a particularly interesting area but a good starting point for exploring Haldikiki.
For us, definitely 5 star.


Positive: new hotel, with a modern design, spacious rooms (we used Loft Suites), daily cleaning in private and public spaces, friendly staff, generally polite young people, drinks and food are at the level of the hotel's stars, covered parking (there are 3 zones  , one of them covered).
Negative: no organized children's entertainment, there is availability for water sports, the entrance to the sea with stones and very deep between 1.5 m-3 m from the shore, after which it is fine.
