We had a lovely week here. just a short walk into town and to the beach. 
The apartments had everything we needed. and were spotless. Being able to use the pool and the facilities at the Peros was great.
We enjoyed the food too. A very chilled week in a quiet resort.

First time I've stayed at Mayflower 1, and missing it already. Being a solo traveller, you need to feel safe and relaxed. From arriving to leaving, the staff were wonderful, hard working, helpful, pleasant and made you feel welcome. A lovely clean pool. Quiet place. Easy walking distance to the beach and harbour. If you want a quiet relaxing holiday, I would recommend staying at Mayflower 1. I will definitely be returning in the future.

Lovely place to stay close to beach about half an hour slow walk  cleaned 3times a week's supermarket close  to apptment  can ask to keep  room on if night  flight  kefalos is very relaxing  place to stay  very friendly 

What a fabulous place,so peaceful and quiet, just what we wanted.a lovely family friendly and helpful staff.just a short walk to the harbour area.
So friendly to young and old and everyone in between,would highly recommend to anybody wanting a quiet and family run place to stay 10/10

Returned to the Mayflower Hotel this year and was surprised by a number of enhancements to the rooms.  All of the rooms been painted, with new curtains and wall decorations.  They now have hairdryers in the rooms and air conditioning.  The rooms are still basic, but are much improved.  Having said that, we have never had a bad stay here and have been over 15 times.  Food at the bar is great as always.  Rooms spotlessly clean.  So relaxing and just generally a huge pleasure to be there.  Will definitely be returning.

We stayed here august, we were in mayflower 2 the furthest away block from the pool and snack bar. It was basic but comfortable, lots of hot water anytime, very clean and spacious for three people. Air con extra at 25euros but worth it.
It was a short walk to harbour and beach where all restaurants and bars were, the only downside was the dark lane you had to pass thru was over-run with cats, i found this a problem as im terrified of cats.
The owner of the complex Demitri was a lovely man, nothing was a problem, even a lift when buses were unreliable.
The snack/pool bar had lots of choice if you wanted to spend the day at the lovely clean pool as we did, with lots of comfortable sun beds.
We travelled with olympic once again, and fond our rep Chelsea a lovely helpful girl with lots of local knowledge. 
Kos airport was a nightmare, far too many people crammed into a small place i found very worrying. Overall though we had a great relaxing holiday meeting lots of lovely people who came back many times we hope to return ourselves next year.

First time staying in Mayflower 1 and was very impressed. Friendly staff, great location  six minutes from sea front and restaurants.  Very quiet both during the day and at night. Clientele tends to be more of a mature age and certainly from the north of England  and Scotland. Not many from the south which is a shame as this a lovely hotel. Be warned many of the guests have clearly been coming for a number of years and tended to treat new customers with disdain and came across as very unfriendly, only talking to those they knew, especially round the pool. They also tended to put their towels out on the bed at 6.30 in the morning (I was up as I did my daily exceise at this time as it was cool) so saw this first hand. Come on people we are all hear for a relaxing holiday a little curtisy to new people wouldn't go a miss. Apart from this I would recommend these studios as a place to stay. Clean and comfy.  Breakfast at the onsite restaurant was freshly cooked and enjoyable. Stayed 8 -22 September 2018

Great location for a relaxing holiday

Arrived at Mayflower from Leros ferry at aprox 5.30pm Sunday 8th. No welcome as such, no docs checked, just told key was in door of room No.3. Room was pretty much exactly as we left it 9 years earlier! e.g. no upgrade to decor, same old short shower curtain that floods bathroom. No dessert spoons or forks in kitchen! We pushed the separate beds together and every other day they were moved back?! Toilet rolls ran out and we had to buy our own. When my wife pulled the curtain back the whole rail was not fastened on one side,  so came down.
Weve been visiting Greece for over 40 years and much of the accommodation used to be very basic but times change and much that was basic decades ago has been brought upto better standards but sad to say Mayflower seemed as though the owner just wanted to eke out his money without improving the place. As I said previously, nobody spoke on arrival but the second day whilst napping early eveing before dining out, the owners son knocked on the door asking for the 'room tax'. The bar was pleasant but each evening on returning to it for late drinks the owners son & girlfriend had a local tv soap on so no joy there either. The location was as described, good and the pool was inviting just overall unchanged in nearly 10 years.
It wasnt the worst place Ive stayed but definately needed modernising & a little care & attention with just a thought by the owners as to what little things make a holiday pleasant.
We will not visit again.
