We stayed here for 5 nights and it could not have been more perfect!! We had a view of the sea and port and a nice balcony. A separate bedroom and small kitchenette was also perfect. The location could not have been better. Within walking distance to everything, We will definitely come here when we visit Kefalonia again!!

Perfect location and size!!!

We only stayed for one night prior to catching the ferry to Meganisi but have already booked again for next year. It was a really big room with a kitchenette & balcony. Spotlessly clean and in a good location.

Huge and it was 'just' a studio!!

Stayed for just one night to be ready to catch ferry following day. Very pleasant owner and well equipped studio apartment if (as is often the case in Greece) a little dark and aging gracefully.  Good position for ferry less than 1/4 mile away.

OK for stopover but not longer stay

Apartments are spacious, clean and well maintained. The management and support team is friendly and very helpful. The location is just one street back from the Sami harbor, very convenient to restaurants, stores, boat/bus tours and beaches. 

We’ve stayed at the Thodora several times and it’s like “coming home”.

Great location, spacious apartment with balcony view

We stayed in the apartment that slept 3 people and were very happy with the apartment. The family that run the place are friendly and always there to help you out, reception is open from 8am until 12am. Perfect location for when needing to get a ferry (1 min walk) to either Ithaki and other Ionian islands. Wifi is good and the rooms themselves were very kept. Our only issues were that the air con was in the main room and not in the bedroom so we found it quite difficult to sleep the first couple of nights and the space in the shower was very small however the shower itself was very nice. The family were kind enough to knock £8 off per night as we booked last minute which we appreciated.

Perfect for a few days

The lady at the reception desk, I assume is Thodora, was very laid back but helpful. We had a spacious studio room with 2 single beds pushed together, a couch, 2 armchairs, a little table with 3 chairs in the kitchen area. In the kitchen area there are 2 electric hobs (large and small), a sink and a few items of crockery and cutlery as well as an electric kettle and a basket of assorted sachets of coffee and tea. On the table when we arrived were 2 little jars - one of delicious local honey and some homemade apricot jam. There is quite a large balcony with a hanging frame for laundry. Balcony overlooks the back garden. There is no hair dryer or power point in the bathroom. I unplugged the tv and used my own hair dryer. There is a mirror next to the tv. The shower cubicle is ver small with accordion doors, however the water is good.  The lights next to the bed are very dim if you want to read. We enjoyed our stay here and the position was perfect for us.

Comfortable and very close to ferries, local bus, restaurants and other shops

A useful facility for visiting yacht crews, Clean and tidy toilet and shower facility for 5 euros, towels and shower gel included, open till late.   Situated one street back opposite ferry terminal.  Easy to walk to from yacht berths.

I highly recommend anyone that wants to stay at an excellent, clean and central hotel in Sami to stay at hotel Thodora! The family run hotel offers you modern apartments with all facilities needed. You will be met by professional, friendly and highly service minded staff that will make your stay to a memorable one. The great location implies that you in a few minutes will be able to visit the amazing beach Antisamos. In addition, Sami is a good departing point if you wish to visit the Island of Ithaka and to explore  the beautiful Island of Kefalonia and its historical treasures as well as amazing beaches with crystal clear water!
