If you want entertainment, noise and the morning dash to secure a sunbed then this isn't the place for you. If you want peace, tranquility and a beautiful vista then this is the place to go. Yes it's not 5* luxury but then I didn't pay for this. I wanted somewhere to relax and cill after a long hard year. The room was comfortable and clean and no issues with my room as I was upstairs. Met lots of guests who go back year after year. Staff were welcoming and I met some amazing people.

Relaxing and far from the madding crowd

Basic but clean studio although  bathroom in need of a total refurbishment. Raised beds around patio area in need of weeding. Communal areas clean and tidy with no issues over sunbeds round pool area - makes a change!!
Found staff to be friendly though other guests had issues. Was permitted to stay in room free of charge although it was an evening pick up. 
Good local amenities (shops and restaurants) but beach could do with raking. Persas restaurant opposite very pleasant.
Used local buses without any problems but bus transport limited here.

Good value basic accommodation

Arrived late evening jet2, Saturday previously tried to contact studios to request upstairs room, as not a lover of cats
No answer on phone so sent text. No email? 
Greeted by George on arrival, very friendly  carried luggage to 4a ground floor. Said i texted showed on phone reply was where was his reply?
Studios full. 
Room clean. Bed very hard. Old dated bathroom, shower very small, dirty old shower curtain. Patio large no view, raised garden bed for privacy.
Room 9 upstairs and refurbished becomes available Monday... Sunday evening i say to George can i move... The response was i work 15 hours a day! Pointing finger at me do not speak to me this way no respect! 
I reminded him I asked for upstairs i dont like cats and on closer inspection there was excrement on patio... 
I do not understand George says in a very aggressive manner! 
So i put it in layman's terms which he understood, but then said he would charge me 20 euros! 
I am well travelled and have never had to pay to change rooms. 
Due to his aggression, arrogance and rudeness i decided to stay put
However i would not speak to him or give him any money by not drinking or eating there
I have never been made to feel so uncomfortable, or spoken to in a intimidating manner by a man! 
i then considered moving hotels, as i was only there one week i held my own and stayed. 
This is not a 3 star as rated by jet 2 unless upstairs.... New showers no electrics fob smaller balconies. 
The grounds were unkept  overgrown and cats constantly trying to get in apartment. 
George's answer was Keep doors close! 
Even after reporting cats poo, this was not cleaned up. 
Some cats were hissing and showing teeth when shooing away... Twice entering room.
Both neighbours were super cat friendly feeding and stroking them which encouraged them to hang around, but once they vacated they were at front door snd back.. 
Scratching, begging, hair up teeth out, jumping out on you at night fighting screaming.... 
So my summary Do Not Go! 
Rude aggressive manager George! 
Ground floor rooms old, mouldy grotty shower curtains, hard beds, 
No TV, no hairdryer 
Patio not cleaned or swept in week 
Old false nails on patio floor (not myn) 
Cat Excrement still not removed after reporting 
Mosquitoes nightmare bitten allover
15 minute beach uphill return not recommended for poor mobility. 
Seaweed beach could be cleaned to be more comfortable. 
Nemesis beach restaurant best breakfast 
Maria's and Percias  best restaurants 
Luckily i met a beautiful wise educated lady who saved my sanity! 
These studios are not nice or value for money please do not be fooled

Go at your own peril!

We have a the best chilled holiday here. Don't  take any notice  of other negative  comments.  Geogre  welcome us as we got of the coach. Help with my case to the room. Everyone here is very friendly.  Bins in rooms empty  everyday. Sheets changed twice in the ten days we were here. We were able to keep our room as we had late flight. All in all a lovely place to stay we will definitely  be coming back.

Wow lovely place to stay.

We had been to these Studios 5 years ago and were impressed enough to return.  Despite the negative comments from some, George greeted us with a welcoming smile and insisted on carrying my wife's case to our room. The studios are lovely and, if you are lucky enough to get am upper floor one, you can even see glimpses of the sea
George tells us there is an ongoing programme of refurbishment in the hotel and was extremely proud of the new bathroom that was done there.  Yes, it was fairly small - but how much more than a shower cubicle, sink and toilet do you want?  The other thing about bathrooms is that Greece often only has a wet room, but this is way and above that as a standard
Serving the rooms was done regularly,  politely and unobtrusively.  The place is clean and tidy, the rooms airy and bright.  We would be happy to give this a top mark recommendation.  Air con is 7€, yes, per night, but that's not out of the way for a self catering hotel.  The area is beautiful - and we'd go back tomorrow!  You can tell we are not alone in this because we met people there who return year after year!

This was our first visit to Katelios  studios  but certainly not the last. In fact, although we had already booked 2 weeks in Svoronata in August 2024 we booked an additional week in May 2024 as we loved it so much.

The owners were absolutely brilliant, Especially George who couldn't be more helpful .He definitely made our holiday a memorable one.Thanks George x

We have read some of the comments from other guests and  totally disagree. This is definitely the best place we have been to Kefalonia  since our first visit in 2006.Looking forward to going back to see George and family e next May.. Your the best George. !!!!!! Cath and Peter McIntyre x

SIMPLY THE BEST

I loved the Katelios studios.  They were only a 10 minute walk from a beautiful beach.  There was a bus service that takes you to other resorts and is a cheap and easy way to see the island.  The room was quiet, clean and comfortable.  The view from the pool was beautiful.  George and his family are lovely and looked after us very well, although we barely spent any time there as we were always at the beach or off exploring the island.  We loved seeing lots of cats and the dogs greeted us every time we came to reception and we adored them.  I travelled just me and my 2 boys and we felt very safe and we were well looked after.  I'd definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend it to anyone.  We had the most wonderful holiday.

A great place to stay on a beautiful island.

Lovely location. Half a mile walk to the beach if you have good mobility. Our room was clean and spacious. Our bathroom had been renovated but wasn’t quite finished. The grounds and pool area could be tidied/cleaned up very easily with a little effort . We found George’s attitude to be poor when he came to deal with a problem we had reported.  Not how you expect to be treated as guests. We wouldn’t return even though we liked the area due to his behaviour towards us and other guests during our stay. It’s fine for a cheap(ish) holiday unfortunately the owner doesn’t appear to want to put in the effort with the property or guests. 

Won’t be returning 

George is a totally useless owner,considering this is the first year with Jet 2.This man is lazy,rude,greedy,and totally objectionable.This studio has only British clients yet he has a Greek radio station playing all day with adverts and Greek pop music for his choice.
Pouring himself a beer or wine then settling down with his damn phone,not socialising with his customers .
The pool was never swept in the bottom of the pool,never swept around the pool area,and all along the toddler pool towards the steps in the pool was thick BLACK MOULD AND FLITH.
I really think JET 2 should reconsider using this studio for there clients otherwise this will ruin their reputation 

WORST STUDIOS EVER…AVOID 

My husband and I arrived at Katelios Studios for a 2 week holiday, we arrived late at night, George met us at the gate, then took us to our room, we were tired so the bed was a welcome sight.
On closer inspection the next morning we noticed lots of small problems around the room, the toilet was a joke, the shower wasn’t very clean, cracks in the sink, and under the kitchen sink it stank of mould. After a few days our toilet stopped flushing, the system was very old, and had to be mended (to a fashion) on the plus side the towels were good, and the bed was clean.
Now let’s talk about George! We have never met such a lazy host ever in all the years we’ve been on holidays, he has NO people skills whatsoever. His head in his phone all day long, tucked away in a shady area.
The pool was NEVER cleaned, it was filthy, dead bugs and leaves on the bottom of the pool with soooo much algae around the edge it was disgusting,George only slung something in the pool at night time then threw the bucket in what I can only call a bucket graveyard at the side of the pool. He had giant weeds growing around the pool, two other guests requested a room to shower as they had all day before leaving,and they had to vacate at lunchtime, another kind guest offered his shower, so they asked George for a towel he wanted to charge them 5 euros! He got quite nasty, and a few other guests saw him getting shouty about the towel and how he had to pay to get it laundered,we really felt for the couple.
We love Kefalonia, but we would NEVER return to this awful place, One day my husband had trouble with the key in the lock, he asked George to have a look, of course George managed to open it and he turned to my husband who is 69 and said “don’t you know how to open a door” my husband was gobsmacked at his rude comment.
We tried not to ask him anything anymore on the holiday
Katelios is a lovely quiet, peaceful resort, and we won’t let this spoil our thoughts on Kefalonia, but would NEVER RETURN TO THIS PLACE! Shame on you George! Get a grip and look after your customers
