We had a great relaxing time, batteries recharged and ready to go back to our normal life. Very clean rooms. Easy going and friendly owners. We were lucky to have the best balcony. Gouves is a lovely place and a perfect starting point to discover Crete. Satoris and his family and I must not forget Rimi, are excellent hosts and go the extra mile for you. The Bbq allows you to sing extremely badly at the karaoke. A great evening for everyone. 

Relaxing time

Lorraine and Alistair are just back from visiting Crete and staying at the Artemis apartments Gouves  we arrived late at almost 11:30 pm and after being told by the bus driver "Down there 200 mtrs " we walked down into the darkness  until we met a lady who told us how to get there and after walking a little bit more we were met by Sotoris who was so friendly and helpful he took us to our room which was very clean and so comfy then went up to the pool bar where we met all the other guests we had a few shandies went to bed had a great nights sleep in the comfy beds up in the morning and we got lots of advice on where to go for any shopping and beaches , Barman Rimi also had a good chat with us on where and what to go and  do  we had a great relaxing time at the complex and the whole expierence was great Sotoris ,E|va and Rimi we thank you for making our stay so good we hope we will get back to see you some day . Artemis Apartments 2023 

Clean basic apartments, great bar area that provided a good range of well priced freshly prepared breakfast, lunch etc on demand. Very welcoming, family run. Friendly atmosphere, lots of repeat business. Plenty of sunbeds, well kept areas, good size pool. Definitely would return.

Great base, good value 

This is the third time we’ve been to Gouves & love it. We stayed at Artemis Apartments for 2 weeks early September 23 & had the best time ever! Such a great place - the staff are so friendly & helpful you feel like part of the family. Very clean, great pool, great food at a very reasonable price - I’m fussy as a rule but can’t wait to stay here again if we can get in!! It’s so popular they have guests return year after year & we can see why. It’s a good 10 mins walk to the bars & restaurants but taxis are cheap enough if needed. Favourite places to eat were: Noi Noi, The Cretan Campsite, Skorpios, Zorbes….. George’s does great coffee - Pella also great food - everyone so friendly. Central Bar has great entertainment on a Thursday & Spyros Taverna is a great crazy nite out!!

We’ll be back!!

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at Artemis in august and had an amazing time. We wanted a holiday where we could relax and this hotel definitely helped us to relax. Short walk to the beach, there wasn’t masses of things to do in the area but it did the job. Owners and staff were so welcoming. We came away feeling well rested. Thanks Artemis! 

Great stay in Artemis 

Artemis Apartments experience

1. Location: there are few shops/bars within 15 minutes of walking but main strips is around 30 minutes walking distance. 

2. Noises: if you don’t mind loud airplane flying over your building noises, cricket noise, dogs barking and rooster crow all day, then this place for you.

3. Apartment interiors: we stayed one bedroom apartment but room size very small and kitchen very basic ( no chopping board, 1 unsharp knife, no oven or microwave, few plates and cutleries and one kettle. AC works fine. 

4. Overall experience: plenty of sun-beds, no loud music, pool and surrounding area clean and looks good. Owners friendly. Got a small bars and servers light snacking food. Very close to the airport. Long sandy beach within 15 minutes walking, not so pretty though

Probably we will come back again if we plan to travel in our retirement age.

Artemis apartments experience

We are staying from 1st Sept to 12th Sept. We have loved it here, very quiet and relaxed.

5/10 minutes walk from the beach and local shops. Restaurants all over the place, some you may want to walk to and get a taxi back. Taxi’s are cheap and reasonable.

Food at the bar in Artemis was great and we ate breakfast and lunch here every day. I am a very fussy eater but they accommodated that.

Sotoris and Remi are amazing. We have had many good nights with Sotoris, he is great and keeps the bar open until the last man is standing. Extremely helpful and very friendly. He will do anything for you.

The room is clean, the cleaner comes in every day (if you want her to) and replaces the toilet rolls, towels and bedding. We chose self catering however we had no intentions of cooking there because we wanted to go out and have a greek meal in a different restaurant every night to experience different foods.

We stayed in room 13, we had 2 big balcony’s (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). My room was very cool with the aircon, at times I had to switch it off it works that well. Good amount of storage. Shower is nice.

The pool area is amazing, kept clean and tidy. Never have to worry about getting a sun bed, there are plenty no matter what time you turn up. Pool table, TV’s and book’s available by the pool.

Overall, we would recommend this place and we would come back, just because of how friendly Sotoris, his wife and Remi are, and how comfortable and safe we felt here. 10/10. We love them!

We love this hotel, great staff, very friendly!

We have just returned from Artemis having stayed for two relaxing weeks and I can see why they have such good reviews. This is a wonderful little coxplex that is quiet and situated well for the local tavernas and the beach. Sottirus and Yeva are very welcoming and friendly, they do all they can to make your stay a good one. The apartments are comfortable with all the space you need, there were plenty of sun beds and umbrellas. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you for a lovely holiday. 

A gem of a place. 

What a beautiful place Artemis is…. We had the most relaxing holiday ever. Studio was spotless.food and drinks so reasonably priced and we’re delicious. Sottiris and Yeva were fabulous hosts so friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to returning again like so many others do year after year. Would recommend to couples young and older and families too…. Perfect

Fantastic holiday

Just returned home after 8 days staying in the Artemis Apartments and had a great time......Sotiris and Yeva were perfect hosts and literally couldn't do enough for us and our family.

Shame to be home but will definitely return,
