My wife and I stayed 2 nights, arriving by rental car at noon and parking in their lot. Driving is difficult with lots of traffic, narrow streets and little parking but we followed Google Maps to the hotel. The nice English speaking receptionist had us fill out an ID form then gave us a choice of rooms on the 2nd or 3rd floor. We decided on #203 with its renovated/outfitted bathroom with nice soaps (stall shower, quick hot water and towel warmer), wardrobe with refer, firm queen with very firm pillows(requested soft ones were delivered) and desk with stool and chair. The wall TV(excellent reception of mostly Greek channels(BBC, Open Beyond shows and m.TV movies in English). An insulated door opened to a balcony with a table and chairs that overlooked rambling tile roofs. The secure room WIFI was fine, 3 room outlets, hand clicker controlled AC/heat unit and a heat register. 
The 7:30 AM breakfast buffet was satisfactory with juice, yogurt, oats, corn flakes, bread, hard boiled eggs, meats/cheeses and pound cakes with good normal coffee.
This is a clean, quiet, older 114 room city center hotel offering good value with an accommodating staff and treasured private parking.

Pros: the location, the price of the room perfectly reasonable for its class, the cleanliness of the hallway and the bedroom, the courtesy of the receptionists.
Disadvantage: at least in the room I had the bathroom was small, there was no bag and I had to throw the toilet paper directly into the bin.

Very good for its price

Our stay at Dioni hotel was very nice. Centrally located hotel with all must-to-visit monuments within a short walking distance. It has a private parking, confortable and clean rooms with a balcony and a buffet breakfast. All these at a very reasonable price.
The staff at the reception was very professional and friendly. A special thanks goes to Mr. Dimitris, Mr Chrystos and Mr Yannis who were very knowledgeable, welcoming and always available.
Small suggestion to make: add some typical products from the region in the breakfast. This will make the difference!

Nice hotel in the heart of Ioannina

Stayed in Dioni 7 nights in September. The room and the bathroom was clean. Safety deposit box in the room. The staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast tasty. There are a few things that could be improved though. A shower curtain in the bathroom is essential. More frequent change of towels and bed sheets. Quite hard mattresses. Lack of vegetables (tomato and cucumber) at the breakfast buffet. All in all happy with the stay. Good value for money. Would definitely go back.      

Good value for money!

The beds only had a thin sheet, no duvet or blanket, which is normal in Greece. However, I found it very difficult to sleep. The location is great as it is right in the centre of town and has nice restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was also good and had a wide selection. Overall, it is okay for a night or two, if on a budget, but I wouldn't stay any longer than that. 

Good for one night

Staff friendly. Wifi free and works fine. Breakfast selection small, but Staff attentive and refill items quickly. Room was fine, if a bit noisy since it was on the street. Balcony was ok. No curtain in the shower (why is that often the case in Europe?). Location great, just a minute or two from the very center, several bars, restaurants, etc. 

Recommend asking for a room not on the street if you desire a quiet night. 

Budget hotel

We stayed here as part of an intrepid tour. 
It's nothing flash but was comfortable and clean. Everything in the room is pretty old. Expect to flood the bathroom floor with every shower as there is no shower Curtin. 

I am not a fussy traveller so honestly this hotel isn't too bad just old and tired. It does have the most comfortable beds though. I slept really well but each to their own.
Was not keen on the breakfast but when it's free you can't complain. 

If your looking for a cheap place I would recommend it. It's in a fantastic location right in the heart of the town. 

Alright for a budget hotel

The bathroom was not so good, the toilet was old and not so well cleaned. 
What can I say about the fridge ... Don't open it, it was horrible ( smelly, flies & hair)
The only good thing was the bed, clean good sheets and mattress.
We have paid the room without seeing it. After a lot of conversation, they didn't accept to cancel the room and refund us the money. 
As it was only for one night, we stayed.
Don't consider the breakfast, to expensive for what they offer.
Good that the city is wonderful!
