We booked our 2017 summer stay in St Constantin very last minute and with very little research before hand and by god did we get lucky. 

Great relaxed atmosphere. Lovely modern air conditioned room, which was handy because it was absolutely scorching in Crete for the duration of our stay. Amazing food with plenty of choice and a spotless well kept hotel to boot. 

We only had one or two real issues with the place and to be fair they're not really big problems. As we were visiting during the school holidays the place was packed out. Most mornings we found it difficult to get sunbeds around the pool, although not impossible. The frustrating part was that most of the time beds were being saved all day and not used. The other problem was the evening entertainment, very kid based, which for the time of year is expected but it was very repetitive. Same songs at the same times for 14 days did wear a bit thin by the end. The odd quiz/game of bingo for the adults but nothing much. 

Overall though these are only very small issues that didn't affect our general enjoyment of the holiday. Highly recommended. 

The feta cheese is mind-blowing 

To be fair, it's rather a 4 * hotel, but depending on the country the classification would differ. 
Decent location, fair distance to beach, and city (17-20 km from Heraklio).
Nice room (very spacious) and not to far from pool and restaurant. We didn't find any bathroom amenities, besides the liquid soap and toilet paper.
The bathroom had only shower sink and toilet.
The food was various, but not always spectacular.
The staff was friendly and eager to help our needs, the animation team also (some bartenders were not always very sharp as the others but i guess that happens when you have turkish staff). 
Frequently we had to wait in line up to 10 min at night for a drink at the pool bar.

Overall a nice place in Crete.
