My sister and I stayed at the Crete Family Villas in a shared room; we elected to hire Jocelyne as our personal tour guide. It was 100% worth it!! She worked closely with us to make sure we got to experience everything we desired: eating and prepping traditional Greek cuisine, beach trips, a gorge hike, and visiting a winery. We enjoyed doing things in the local villages more than visiting the closest city of Heraklion. It was a major benefit going places with Jocelyn because she speaks Greek fluently and knows her way around the island. We spent three days in Crete and wished we had spent at least five! Most of all we loved spending time with Jocelyne and her husband, Andy. They were absolutely fabulous!! Will be back to stay longer and will definitely return to Crete Family Villas!!

Crete is one of those places where you'll miss out if you don't get off the beaten path. My boyfriend and I were so lucky to experience the idyllic countryside (without a long side-trip) at Crete Family Villas. The surrounding area offer stunning views of beautiful wine country set among rolling hills. It only took us 20 mins to get there from Heraklion Port, but it felt like a world away from the busy city. The town itself was very quaint and unspoiled by tourist traffic. The villas are nice, on well-kept grounds with an excellent view. Plus, Jocelyne and Andy were such warm and lively hosts. I especially enjoyed going on a walk with them where they pointed out many different types of wild and farm-grown produce and told me some local history. We even stopped to pick fresh figs. They took us to dinner in the village and everything was so fresh and delicious. I have no criticisms and would love to visit again. Make Crete Family Villas your home base on Crete--you won't regret it!

Authentic and Astounding

Our stay in the Villas was perfect for us.  Tucked away in a quaint little village with breathtaking views of the valley, you will know why this is called the Tuscany of Greece.   Each villa has it's own beautiful pool.  Or enjoy some relaxing time on the first or second floor porch.  The bedrooms are spacious with more storage than we needed for a 7 day stay.  A washing machine and dryer made it easy to do laundry if needed.  We were able to make breakfast and dinner in the villas if you desired.  It's easy to grab eggs or Greek yogurt at the village store for breakfast.  Dinner was usually just fruit or a salad since we ate large lunches.  Great location and easy to walk to the small village for libations or  a meal.

As experienced US and international travelers, we highly recommend the villas and would come back here.  The hosts, Andy and Joycelen are exception without being intrusive.  Overall it was an excellent experience.

It  Doesn't Get Better Than This..

We have stayed at villas before but never one like this. Everything about this villa was amazing. The views are staggering and will remain with us forever. The villa comfortable and the pool excellent. However what makes this place outstanding are two wonderful people Andy and Jocelyne. They looked after us in a way we have never experienced on any holiday. When we suffered a problem with getting lost on one of our car journeys they were there 100% to soothe our worries away. They then continued to support us for the rest of our holiday. Without them well it would have not have had the laughs and enjoying meals in their excellent company. We cannot thank them enough. Excellent hosts the best. 

A wonderful holiday

This was my third time to visit Crete Family Villas and every time I visit I love it. Andy and Jocelyne are incredible hosts, the village is wonderful, the villas are so nice and it's really just right in every way. I love how centrally located it is, and I love the simple pleasures that are available. Going to the local market in Heraklion is so much fun and I love connecting with the locals. 
The views from Crete Family Villas are unbelievable too. You can see all the way to the Sea and the valley is amazing. I'd suggest going to anyone, it's unforgettable.

A return to Crete

It was a wonderful time! I reconnected with friends and feel like I'm now part of a huge extended family. Pendamodi village itself is a welcoming place, and Jocelyne and Andy are the best hosts ever! I'm gathering more friends to bring along next year. The villas are peaceful, relaxing, quiet, private, and heaven for a nature loving gardener!

Home Away From Home

I almost don't want to write a review, because I want to keep this place a secret!!
My stay at Crete Family Villas was heaven on earth.  The villas are located at the top of the village of Pendamodi surrounded by grape vineyards and beautiful landscaping.  Each villa has its own pool and they are engulfed by lovely trees and flowers that hide them from each other.  The silence of the night is as beautiful as the sky with all the stars.  From each villa you can see the farmlands  and valleys below that represent just a piece of the incredible landscaping of the island.
What makes the villas and the stay even more special are Andy and Jocelyne Kerrigan.  They are so accomodating, laid back, lovely hosts that answer your every wish.  Their knowledge of the island and the way they bring the Greek culture into everything you do is very enlightening.  I love being able to feel like I am in Crete and not with all of the tourists.  We would travel other parts of the island during the day, and when we came back to the villas, it was a like we were in our own special world or heaven on earth!!.

Heaven on Earth!

Our stay in Crete Family Villas was perfect! We could not have wished for a more relaxing vacation.
From the moment we left the bustling Heraklion Airport and were driven by hosts Andy and Jocelyne Kerrigan the 30 minutes to their compound of three villas, each with it's on swimming pool, we knew we were in the right place. 
The villas are beautifully appointed and tastefully decorated with full kitchens and ironed crisp sheets. 
The view from our villa was magnificent spanning the valley and mountains with a view of the turquoise Mediterranean.  The air is sweet and smells of flowers and fruits.
The true uniqueness of our stay were the hosts themselves. You feel pampered from the start by these kind, multilingual Americans who have chosen this spot on Earth to call paradise. Their knowledge of the area and language makes your stay comfortable and stress free.
You will not be disappointed and may never want to leave or at least book a spot in advance for next year.

Paradise Found

Wow , where do I start with this amazing villa ? 
We stayed here June 2018  for 7 nights  4 adults and 5 children . There was 4 spacious bedrooms with 1 on sweet clean and comfortable beds and doors that led to a safe rooftop that had a fantastic view of Elunda and the sea .... The kitchen had everything you could possible want there wasn’t a thing that we needed to buy ( other then food ) everything was there . There was a beautiful terrace that had a bbq and a nice large table on one level with amazing views and on the next level that was next to the kitchen was another terrace which also had a large table with stunning views and was ideal to eat breakfast and lunch and even dinner ! 
Down stairs in the villa there was a nice large tv, stero with ample amount of a selection of cds to suit everyone’s taste , board games . The lounge had a lovely comfortable sofa , also there was a nice large table to eat inside if it was a bit chilly outside ,,,,, 
There also was a down stairs and upstairs toilet 
Next amazing feature was the lovey clean pool and pool area so refreshing on a hot day , all the towels was provided for the pool or even the beach the owners are so helpfully and very lovey and keep this amazing villa to a very good standard ! I seriously can not wait to go back again

Villa Ellie

We stayed for 3 nights in Villa Eleftheria. The villa is just like someone's home, beautifully decorated with craft items and textiles, and with plenty of crockery, pans and utensils for all cooking requirements. The rooms are spacious and overlook beautifully tended gardens. The balcony from main living room overlooks the private swimming pool and has sweeping views over olive groves and vineyards to mountains beyond. The owner lives on site and can recommend local walks and eating establishments. The place was so beautiful that we abandoned plans to go exploring in our hire car and spent one day luxuriating in the villa, pool and grounds. If only all holiday accommodation could be like this.
