One word  HORRIBLE, very aggressive and dangerous owner. rooms are very old and worn out, doors don't close so the room is full of mosquitoes. Pay extra for fridge and air conditioning that does not work, no wifi ; breakfast is worthless, NEVER AGAIN  !!!

Arrogant owner, you have to pay 5 euro a day for airco and 2 euro for fridge. Full off alcoholics never. again

A very nice family hotel! Friendly and helpful staff! It is a small hotel. The atmosphere is very relaxed. It is very quiet because it is located just outside the village. And Matala is also a very nice village.

Nice family hotel!

It is a modest hotel but the best thing is that it is run by a wonderful family. The owner Stelios is an exceptional host who will help you with everything you need and who also produces the best Raki on the island!

If you don't expect great luxuries, this hotel will leave you very satisfied. Enjoy a magnificent atmosphere for a cheap price.

We loved it, we will be back for sure!

Very good value for money

This little hotel has everything you want: calm, beauty, space, swimmingpool, terraces. We took the apartament and it was all we needed for our comfort. The window-doors are provided with mosquito net doors that allow you to spend the best nights possible... but the best thing of them all is Stelios, the owner who will make you feel like the special guest and with him you can have a real taste of cretyan culture and of their uncomparable hospitality. I give him and his place the best of notes and I recomend it to whoever wants to spend a peaceful wonderful time in this corner of paradise.

A delightful hotel in a gorgeous place

Very nice and basic hotel. Simple and cosy rooms. The location is very good, just outside Matala. The beach is only 5 min by foot.

The breakfast is very basic, but it is not a problem if you want to supplement something you brought yourself. (The Cretan food is too good for a lot of breakfast anyway.) The hotel bar, when open, is a great place to have a drink with your fellow travellers or to socialize with the other guests. The owner is a great host and well loved by his guests.

In short, a very nice stay and good value for money.

I would definately recommend hotel Orama!

It is a great hotel juist outsight matala, stelios is a super host, vers friendly persoon (thanks for the duvel !!!) The rooms are basic but very clean but you now this before you arrive! We will sure return in the future!!!

Great and calm hotel!!!

We didnt pay much so we didn't expect much. Although the airco didnt work, when I showered the whole bathroom was flooded and the breakfast was rather poor. 

We didn't meet the owner till the third day and he was very aggressive asking us who we were. Later he apologised but still.. We stayed seven days and the room only got cleaned once. While I asked for one bed we got two and I asked for a bath but got a shower. 

The hotel is rather basic, the pool is too small and the hotel is full with people from Belgium or The Netherlands. If you like to talk private it's impossible.
