Golden Valentin Apartments

Holiday started off well after being greeted by Valentina and given a beer on the house! After a good chat I was led to my room (206) and was further surprised by not only how nice, clean and modern the room was but also by the bottle of chilled white wine waiting in my fridge. Nice modern shower, actually attached to the wall, good water pressure, hot water all the time (Was July though and very very hot) The apartments are set in well maintained gardens which were a pleasure to walk through every day. My room was cleaned every couple of days and I got clean towels each time. Mainly Dutch people stay here and at the time I was staying were they were quite a few young people in the late teens/early 20's. Surprisingly I didn't hear much noise at night and the young people were all very quiet and well behaved. Of course that depends of the random nature of who is actually staying, your experience could be different. Apartments are ideally placed - 10 mins walk down the hill to Hersonossos or 15 mins walk up to the villages. The walk up is steep though and not for ladies with high heels or people with joint problems etc. Very challenging in the mid-day heat in July! Bar serves very basic snacks and of course drinks. Had a lovely time and met some nice people. As a man travelling solo in his 40's I would visit again but maybe in September when it's a little cooler and they are some older people staying etc.
