A peaceful,clean, well maintained, managed and equipped collection of rooms set in green gardens. A short (moderately inclined but with beautiful views) walk away from the port,the charming owner continues to keep this property as a perfect place to stay in whilst you enjoy the unique Amorgan lifestyle of Katapolo. Recommended.

Pension Sofia

Had a great stay with Evangelia being a fantastic hostess .super clean and next to everything you may need!!
Nice outdoor garden where you could relax and enjoy the serenity .
Would recommend the place to anyone who wants to enjoy Beautiful Amorgos .

Amorgos stay 

We arrived on Amorgos not sure of our accommodation so when the very friendly Sofia approached me when my partner as I got off the boat, I was very happy to receive her brochure promoting her pension. It looked good and it proved good as well. Sofia had just finished renovating the room, so everything was new which was nice. we were up the hill a bit so the terrace had a lovely view of the port and the blue sea and the surroundings. sofia was really delightful. her family have several businesses in the town including motor cycle hire which we availed ourselves of and which was great value for the day. there was a plumbing issue at one point resulting in water on the floor but sofia was quick to arrange to have it fixed so it wasn't a big deal. i would definitely recommend pension sofia to anyone wanting a clean, charming place to stay that's great value for money.

Surprise find

We stayed here as we needed a room last minute during peak season. 

Peak season prices aside, the rooms themselves were of a very low quality, smelly and dated bathrooms. The owners were very hard to deal with, lacked any interest in helping you and we had a very clumsy checkin process (repeated excuses that the room wasnt ready a few hours after the checkin time). While this wasnt a great start and tainted our view for the outset, the rooms are just not worth staying at.

Poor quality rooms, dated bathrooms, smelly toilets, overpriced, bad staff comminication

Me and my husband visited amorgos the last week of August and reserved a small room in pension Sofia. I am sad to admit that staying there was the only bad memory of our holiday. 6 days in the pension and we never had our towels and sheets changed. The room was not clean when we arrived although Sofia was there and checked it and the lady so called Sofia was really rude ( although her rest family was more than kind). What's more, someone every day we were at the sea, entered our room and was taking ONLY the wc rubbish but did not clean or change towels. So we did not get the reason why they entered the room. We tried to find another place to stay but everything were booked. We are not rich and we saved money through the year for these holidays and we both believed that this lady totally mocked on us.
