The staff were extremely friendly however the rooms require a bit of an update. Our bed was located directly under where the roof slopes down so you couldn't sit up in bed. There were also many spiders, which is understandable in a rural area, but could be managed a bit better with screens in the windows and perhaps moving the furniture. Other than that it was a very pleasant stay and for the price I can recommend it, as long as you don't mind spiders. (also don't get scared by the loud bangs from the army base near by, only a few in the early evening).

Friendly but needs an update

A wonderful family run Gasthaus. We arrived after midnight on the day of check in and the lady had waited up for us, this was so good of her and we are very grateful. We enjoyed our stay, the breakfasts were delicious with so much choice and the two meals we had in the restaurant were excellent. Room 4 was spacious and comfortable but the double bed is not in a good position, the head being under the sloping ceiling made it difficult to turn over, so we put our pillows to the foot of the bed... problem solved for us but maybe they should consider putting the single bed where the double bed is. The double bed would be better on the other side of the partition wall. We would definitely stay at the lovely Heidehof again.

A Little bit of Heaven

Everything was great. Internet was a bit slow but the location is surrounded by forest so it is understandable. Breakfast was plentiful and when we said we did not eat pork (not a problem as there was so much more to eat) they brought us more cheeses and veggies on a plate. Even brought me a carafe of hot water the night before so we could have tea and heated up some food for my son on their kitchen. Rooms were new and clean. Would come again.
