Grand Hotel Palladium Munich

Stayed at the Grand Hotel Palladium during our 10 day visit at Munich (December). Despite the mixed reviews, we had a great stay and the whole experience was a very positive one! Check in and check out were smooth and efficient. Staff were always polite and welcoming. As a family of 4, the room was quite large and spacious and had everything one usually finds/expect. Room was clean, warm, had ample furniture (sofas, etc) and a good sized decent bathroom (shower). Bed was also large and ok in terms of comfort. Breakfast was also good and varied. Nothing extraordinary but very decent. The hotel’s restaurant, on the other hand, was simply amazing. Great ambience, delicious food, very nice staff and good prices for the great quality of food provided. Even if staying outside the hotel, a visit to Restaurante Caesars is a must! Location is also great, literally 3-5 mins walk to the metro which gets you directly to Marienplatz in approx. 20 mins. It’s also great for other stops (e.g. Hellabrunn Zoo) or for railway changes. Supermarkets (e.g. Lidl) and other stores are also within short walking distances. So, if you’re looking for a very good hotel in Munich which is decently priced, with amazing food offered by the in-house restaurant and is well connected to the city centre, then the Grand Hotel Palladium would be an excellent choice and highly recommended!
