The room was unclean and the furniture partly broken. Broken like one of the windows, so I changed my room, but...same same...unclean, broken lights, old stuff...
The people are kind, but language skills are neither available in German nor English. I did not taste breakfast.

Just a terrible stay there

This is perhaps the worst hotel in which I've stayed in Germany. The rooms are small, outdated, and the stains on the furniture and bedding make me think that nothing has been changed since the times of the Soviet Union. The staff were gone from the hotel by 9 pm. We could not get any service at all--even on the emergency line--for over an hour. The workers who were here when we checked in where surly, rude, and unwilling to help (with the exception of one female worker, who appeared to at least be helping a bit). Even our travel agent was embarrassed by the situation.

This hotel claims to be three star? They're dreaming.

Me and my friend stayed here for one night and it was good. The hotel is quite close to the city center so we could walk there. The room even had a little kitchen area and downstairs there's a kicker table and a pool table. Also there's a vending machine with drinks and snacks. You can go to the lounge area all night and with your keys you can come and go into/from the hotel whenever you please. It's not a spectacular hotel but I can't really complain about anything in particular.

Perfectly fine stay in the city 

A friend and I visited this hotel during a city trip. We booked the hotel because we thought it would be a good option, near the city, free WiFi, even a balcony. Unfortunately it's not really good. First of all the beds are terrible, the mattress is very hard (even compared to other hotels which were much cheaper) the WiFi was terrible, and the city is a 10 min walk (that's alright). The staff is alright. But on a price/quality ratio this hotel is very poor. For the same price you can get a much better hotel. FYI the hotel also lies along a busy road and is not well isolated so very loud at night. 

Much to be improved.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel during our family trip last June (2014) and occupied a total of six rooms. The hotel itself has some potential, even though it doesn't have a special atmosphere it doesn't seem as old as the name might suggest and it's fairly conveniently located, just a 10 minutes walk and you're in the old town.

Unfortunately though the customer service (or staff for that matter) is close to non-existent. the reception was often empty and a contact person seemed hard to find at times. When we were lucky enough to meet someone, they didn't talk more than the essential and seemed quite bored by us. No further hospitality was given other than passing us the keys and I've felt more welcome in many $30 hostels I've been to.

The breakfast "buffet", if you'd choose to call it like that, was very limited considering the price for the rooms. Sadly not only choice and quantity (everyday we had to find someone to re-fill the rolls or milk or something else) were limited but also the quality of the food. One day the milk was bad, then the scrambled eggs were not seasoned and dry, the bread lay there in a plastic bag it was bought in and seemed of low quality.

However pretty ordinary, the room was generally okay and clean enough when we moved in but it was never cleaned during our stay and toiletries weren't refilled so that I had to go down to the reception again to get additional toilet paper. The only signs of human existence in our room was when we found new towels one day which were just thrown onto our bed. Besides that we paid the same for all six rooms but the one we stayed in was smaller than the, had no fridge and oven+burner like the others so clearly was a different category room.

They messed up our bills using different rates for some rooms which were in the same category with different breakfast rate as well. Then for one room we only paid one night instead of three. After recognising this I went back to pay the two extra nights but there was no excuse nor a thank you from the reception guy. Common! I just saved you EUR120 man!!! That gave me the rest.

Before posting this comment I also did send an email with above points to the hotel management, hoping they would take the chance to give some explanations, maybe even an apology, just any sort of service recovery really but I never received anything back from them.

You won't see me there again.
