We were in Cuxhaven - Duhnen for the first time (only about 2 hours from HH). We booked the hotel on recommendation and were not disappointed. The location is perfect. Directly opposite is the access to the promenade and the long sandy beach. Buses to Cuxhaven also stop directly at the front door. We could park our car right in front of the door at a large hotel parking lot. For every year there are electric cars! The hotel is already in the 3rd generation and you can see everywhere how much heart blood is in all the floors.

Family hotel with a long tradition - top location, exceptional kitchen, excellent service!

We were at my mother-in-law's 80th birthday dinner yesterday at the hotel's restaurant. A duck dinner was pre-ordered. Drinks and food were excellent. The service was good. The toilets were lightning white. The well-being factor was very good in this house.

The best duck food...

We had been looking forward to nice days of fine dining in peace of mind again, but unfortunately that was not the case. After we were finally able to get our suite information Room would have to be ready now, the cleaning force was not quite finished. After unpacking the suitcase, I then first cleaned the toilet myself, the balcony and the windows were also very dirty, which has remained so! Even the dinner, half board, was miles away from the offer of our last stay.

More than disappointing!

This time, after 2 years, for the first time there again, just a snack, to the kitchen, only one dish to choose from at half-board, changing, either fish or meat, the first day, calf slices, no good teeth, zero chance.... the third day paprika, stuffed with tomato sauce, rice stuffed, with about ca, a spoonful of personal bean salads... to the service at all, your room is very ready, a suite for 276 euros per day, at about 14:30: but we are almost ready according to my testimony, but the chief of staff can 't wait until the next hour to clean up the bathroom, and then it can 't be cleaned at the same time, if it's just about 2 hours, then it can 't be cleaned at the same time, and then it's not even cleaned up at the same time, and then it's not even cleaned up at the same time, and then it's not even cleaned up at the same time, and then it's not even cleaned up at the same time, and then it's not even cleaned up at the

Two years ago, it was great, now, it's a shame!

We've been at ease for years and we've been satisfied, but since then the clientele is mostly made up of senior groups from Caritas of the UK, among others, for whom the restaurant is being re-launched as a dining room, there's a hell of a noise and dinner is being fed, that's the end of it for us.

Previously on Top... Today's Flop

We've been really looking forward to the lake vacation and have traveled as a small family with a baby. You have to say that the situation is very good and Cuxhaven is really nice. The hotel comfort we can't recommend! It's always written family friendly and child friendly, but nothing to see, very inflexible and one day the warm water fell out, the answer is, then shower in the swimming pool, with baby! Not even 4 stars and not even an apology or a discount for 1 day no warm water! Sorry, but full of the embarrassment... we paid a lot of money and the price performance is not right at all. As the only view to call the kitchen family, I think the family is run by Hansen and Harras service, and I really don't think there are many awards and I don't really recommend this room with a high price and service.... but I don't really think there are too many to recommend this room!

Cuxhaven is very beautiful, hotel soul never again!

We were very surprised by what the restaurant offers soulfulness outside the house It is made in fine porcelain, the food is star cuisine for home!!! We can only recommend this! And hope that the Corona time finally passes... and we can finally enjoy the service at the restaurant again🙏 We wish the family of Harras and Hansen all the best  Love greetings Peter and Angelika

Food to be picked up

The exterior is deceptive. The entrance area, the renovated rooms and the swimming pool with sauna area are modern and attractive. The hotel makes a neat impression and was very clean. The staff is friendly and hospitable. The breakfast buffet leaves no wishes. In conclusion: the price ratio is really good, we would book the hotel again anytime.

Modern, clean, central and good service

We spent two nights in this hotel with a perfect location and a super good kitchen. Thanks to the kitchen! But when you enter the hotel and you see these ugly thick carpets, you wonder what it takes, because the floor without carpets looks really nice, unfortunately, also with this mostly 75+ age group of guests there, quite impractical with a roller. The staff were all very friendly and hardworking, but noticeably, there was a great slender middle-aged gray-haired man (Jorf in service?), who was a little less arrogant and over-dressed to the face.

Great kitchen, but a hotel that needs a refreshment!

We had a DZ in the hotel in a short time. We could imagine why there was still a DZ free here and all the other hotels were booked for that period. For this price we expect to have bathrooms, bathtubs, a minibar, and the chairs on the fairly narrow balcony. It's also difficult to get a parking space, because the hotel probably doesn't care to have the beach visitors park in the hotel's own parking space. The only positive thing to say is the staff have a good breakfast and the kindness of staff.
