Rainbow beach bar and lodgings

So with the help of my mate, I ended up taking an unplanned week in the Gambia. I had no idea what to expect and was booked into a really basic hotel – yes £6 per night – my expectations were so low; anything would have made me happy. But we came to the Rainbow. It was basic. What can you expect for £6 a night, but it was clean, it was colourful, the staff were amazing and the place is positioned on a tiny piece of paradise. Each day I’d wake up to a basic breakfast of bread, eggs and coffee – yes I could have had the full English for a few dollars more but that did me for the day. Then I’d find a bed on one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. All I waned to do day after day, night after night was be on that beach, on my lovely beach bed, enchanted by that lovely view, those starry starry nights, that bright pinky orange sunrise, those unbelievable sunsets. Thank you Gambia, thank you Rainbow Beach Resort. Ill be back very soon.
