Had a delicious meal today with a group of friends; we had the small room just inside from the patio.  Delicious, fresh veg and meat and the Norwegian omelette ended the meal in style.  The new owners from the LYON area compiled a lovely menu with local produce from the nearby Alps and the traditional cuisine from LYON.  Strongly recommend the Noix de Veau and the PIntade aux Morilles.  To be noted we did not stay at the hotel, but attended a meal with a group of friends.

We came across the Auberge by chance while visiting the spectacular rock formations in Les Mees. The dining room has high ceilings and somewhat old world elegance. The service was professional and polite. Our group of four all had the lunch special of "poulet en paprika" - it was excellent with very tender, probably local chicken served with beautifully prepared vegetables. The meal for 4 including coffee was 52 Euros with an additional 18 Euro for a very pleasant chardonnay. Great value for a good meal. We did not stay at the hotel.

We ended there, only because, one evening, we did not know of anywhere to eat in the locality. (In other words, we never stayed the night).

We were served by the Chef’s wife, a very pleasant young woman who, as well as being stylish, had a good sense of humour.
We both took to “à la carte” menu.
My partner was adventurous enough to try the kangaroo and he said he would have it again as he thoroughly enjoyed it.
The food and service were in keeping with a more expensive restaurant and I have no hesitation in recommending it.

Super meal - Charming Staff!

Great lunch break

WE DID NOT REGRET IT!

We arrived to this auberge at around 5pm to find the hotel closed until 6pm and we could not even access our room! Finally they opend the hotel up, we got into the room and it was very clean and nice and cool but when it was time to sleep it was over 30 degrees in that room and no air conditioning, no fan and just 2 shutters as windows! We heard the cars all night long and we were so hot we left at 3 am!! The soap was the size of your thumb and broke in 2 when tried to open it beacause of the heat!! The towels are the size of a cloth!! Big mistake staying here and will never come back again! The only thing good about this auberge is that it is very clean!!
