My wife and I enjoyed 3 days at La Claire,B and B. We travel to France often and can honestly say La Claire is an excellent stay. The room was large and impeccable and had everything one needs. The large bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. But I save the best til last. The host and hostess were so warm and friendly, it felt as if we were visiting family. Breakfasts were very good and plentiful. We definately wish to return both to Honfleur and The Auberge de la Claire.

Hospitality and Total Comfort in Honfleur

Went back after liking this hotel last year, It has been decorated since then, and the room was that much brighter. Great breakfast as usual, All in all, nothing to complain about with this hotel, and prices were the same as last year, which was a bonus 😃

Excellent Value

We stayed here for one night (family of 4) for a stop over on the way to Calais and was recommended the town of HonFleur. This hotel is excellent value for money. My daughter described it as "vintage", a term I would agree with! It was a typical traditional understated french hotel, a perfect end to our holiday, as didn't want to spend a lot for one night. The room we stayed in was separated into 2 rooms, one double bed and a room with 2 twin beds, much nicer than all crammed together in 1 room. It was very clean with plenty of towels, free parking at the front of the property and a lovely short walk into the beautiful town. A perfect budget hotel in a beautiful french town.

Excellent value for money

Our party of four booked three of the studio apartments at the rear of the hotel.All rooms were clean and serviced daily,en suite was fine unlimited very hot water no plumbing problems at all ,Small seating area outside each room. with chairs and a table and ample parking away from the road .Breakfast is optional and the hotel has a small bar.The owner and the staff were very friendly and helpful and we we certainly tay at The Auberge again ,quite remarkable value for money

Very good value

Located just a short 10 minute walk from the charming port of HonFleur, this Hotel is extremely convenient.
Parking is no problem.
I was 'upgraded' to a Studio apartment ( virtually no one else staying at this hotel in November) which is situated to the rear of the Brown building to the right if the original hotel. Access is by a narrow lane, but adequate space for car parking is provided at the rear, indeed we were able to park directly outside our room so keeping an eye on the vehicle was easy.
The hotel is dog friendly and the Studio option provided better access,rather that having to use the many steps to access the upstairs rooms...
As others have quoted, the hotel & rooms are very dated, can be rather dingy, however the room and beds were very clean. The bathroom & shower facilities were adequate, but again, very tired.
The whole place would benefit enormously from modernisation,
The staff were very nice and helpful.
Overall, you get what you pay for... The room was extremely good value and the breakfast was also good value, however there is much room for improvement!
