As with other reviews, Le Michelet is not a luxury venue but it provides an excellent welcome, comfortable rooms and is perfectly positioned for both the train station and the town. 

I was initially concerned with booking the hotel as we were four motorcyclists touring the Alps and the hotel does not show any parking facilities on Booking.com, all other reviews simply talk about using the station car park. However, a very welcome added bonus was that we were provided with free underground parking for our motorbikes.

We did not take breakfast.

Recommended if you just need a place to stay in Gap.

Good basic place to stay.

Le Michelet is not quaint, it is not charming but it is well situated  and convenient for a night stop when travelling. I think they know this and that's fine. We were warmly welcomed by a friendly lady and allocated perfectly adequate rooms - partially painted purple! Underground parking was fine but not secure; breakfast also was fine. Why not stay here? You can't see the purple paint in the dark anyway! Yes I would go back.

Why not? It does the job.

This hotel is located in front of the railway station,the bar at the hotel is a stop for waiting passengers,and luggage is stored in the bar.I feel that the hotel is secondary to the bar business,that said it was clean,the car park is the public car park so you take your chance,but the location in its favour is the short walk to the city its a wonderful city so please go the countryside spectacular

one night stop

This hotel is next to the station, the free parking is actually the station car park. Pleasant friendly staff, small trendily furnished room tastefully decorated. The balcony offered did not materialise. The Wifi was very slow. That said we had a very pleasant overnight stay.
