Extremely rude receptionists , chatting at the back, always on their mobiles , when you ask any question, they are so horribly rude 
Disgusting attitude
Room was filthy , it did smell horrible , nothing what was promised was in the room , 
I would not recommend!!!!

To put it simply the rooms are unclean with many aspects broken. The staff are either rude or never there. THe swimming pool is broken and has been for two years. I have also not received my deposit ( I left four weeks ago) THIS IS A FRAUD.......

YOU NEED TO LISTEN THE PLACE IS A SCAM!

Unstaffed hotel. 

You run the risk of drunk yobs throwing a party and nothing will be done about it.

False economy if you can't sleep as you'll be too tired to ski.

Smelly corridors. Dogs and their excrement in abundance. 

But it's cheap if you want basic accommodation.

Worth £40 a night, not much more. Be prepared for noise and no staff. 



Risky

We booked The Cybelles Apartments with Cristal Ski Holidays under the impression that it would be perfect for a simple self catering option for a family holiday. 

Our room was filthy, the bedding and pillows we dirty, the kitchen was particularly awful with piles of greasy, smelly dishes in the sink and in the dishwasher. 
The TV didn't work, nor did the promised wifi. 

Cristal Ski agreed to refund us approx £1000.00 as we had to book alternative accommodation. No-one has been in contact despite several emails sent.

One thing to be very aware of is that if Cristal Ski promise to reimburse you they have no intention of doing so.

Cristal Ski Holidays lies and The Cybele Appartments.

We arrived at the Cybele on a Saturday evening in February 2019 for our family skiing holiday. We were greeted by two rude, unaccomodating women at the reception who spoke very little English and were very keen to take our deposit straight away, of 200 Euros. Once we got to our room we discovered 3 filthy beds, with no pillows and no bed sheets or duvets. We investigated this problem and eventually found an assortment of pillows, which were again dirty and included cigarette burns on them. We also found some thin blankets which were said to the be duvets. When we entered the bathroom, it was again filthy, and obviously had not been cleaned for many weeks. The toilet was not flushed or cleaned and the floor and bath was very dirty. The sink had dirty marks around it and a small space between the sink and shower was black with dirt. The shower, was almost non existent. The head of the shower was not even attached to the wall making it nearly impossible to stand and have a shower at the same time. Once one of us braved the bathroom and attempted to have a shower, it was soon revealed that after five minutes the hot water ran out and so the other two members of our party could not shower. The television and the wifi did not work and when we looked in the cupboards there were no plates, cups or bowls. They were all in the dishwasher, which once we opened, we found were all filthy, and stained. After putting the wash back on, all the utensils were just as filthy as before. Along with everything else the curtains were also hanging off their rails. Once we had discovered all of this we went back downstairs to the two ladies at reception. We asked for some bed sheets, duvets and towels, and begrudgingly we were given a couple of sheets and towels but still no duvets. By this time we had made it clear to our tour operator that we did not wish to stay in the Cybele for any more time than we had to, and we were quickly relocated to a much nicer accommodation just down the road. The next day after a day of skiing, we told the two women that we would be leaving, and wanted our deposit back immediately. The one woman at reception that we were speaking to, spoke such bad English that she made us to type into google translate on her computer what we were trying to say so that she could understand that we were leaving and wanted our money back. Overall we stayed at the Cybele for one night and were appalled at the state in which we found our room. We also did not receive our deposit back until nearly a week after we had left and this was prompted by a number of phone calls from our rep asking for our money back.

Dirty, extremely poor accommodation and long delay in getting our deposit back.

Cybele is basic & simple & tired looking however it does provide an ideal spot to stay if you are out skiing all day -

Rooms were cosy & warm - small galley kitchen in the room  but there are plenty of eating places near by so we never cooked in the room. A local baker sells fresh breads/pastries in the foyer every morning which is great.

There is a pool but its quite dingy & tired & would not entice you to have a swim & is only open for 2 hours morning & evening

The reception desk is only open a limited time each evening too

Basic & simple

We have stayed in Bride previously as it's less expensive than Meribel etc. These apartments are at the beginning of Bride and it's about a 10 min walk to the gondola although there is a free bus every 20 mins. Apartments are small but clean. It's not somewhere where I would recommend staying if you only ski a little as Bride is quite quiet and the apartments were furnished with essentials only. The swimming pool is tired and could do with a refresh. Apartments have a pull out bed and bunk beds but it would be a small space for 4. Kitchen had a hob , microwave, fridge, dishwasher. Cutlery etc for 6. Bed linen provided but we took our own towels. You can store your skis etc at the gondola for €20 although there is a room at the apartments. Gondola takes 20+ mins to get to Meribel. Room was warm and had plenty of hot water. there is a man who comes daily with fresh bread, croissants, pain raisin etc 0730-0830 in the reception area. Highly recommend large baguette €1.30. All in all it's adequate but don't expect 5 *.

Skiing on a budget....

I have stayed at Cybele three times now and always found apartments clean,warm and well equipped with plenty of hot water for that all important bath or shower at the end of a days skiing. Brides-les-bains is a great place to stay to enjoy a cheap ski holiday with some good restaurants and bars in town. There's a free bus to the lift if you don't fancy the walk. 

Great value apartments

There is a previous review describing this property as an hotel and complaining that there was no-one to deal with their arrival when they arrived late on a Saturday night.
This property contains self-contained apartments and the reception is only open at pre-advised times. Anyone arriving outside reception opening times might not be able to access their apartment if they need to collect a key from reception.
I have stayed at these apartments many times over the past few years. The apartments are acceptably tidy and well-equipped. There is underground parking available (extra cost), a ski locker room and a small swimming pool. The property is at one end of the town and a ten minute walk to the centre. 
Brides Les Bains is an ideal location to visit the Three Valleys area and a low-cost option for winter skiing. Les Cybele is a perfectly acceptable apartment complex.

Perfectly acceptable apartments

We have stayed in Les Cybelle on 3 occasions now.  We prefer the private rentals as they are better equipped and more flexible. The apartments are much larger than the average ski rental apartments, they are warm and welcoming and very comfortable.  There is a small swimming pool that the children enjoy after skiing and a sauna and Gym for the adults.  Brides Les Bain is an incredibly pretty little town, and much better value than any where else in the 3 Valleys.  We will be returning again and again!
