What a truly wonderful experience. My mom and I did a girls trip and stayed in the two bedroom suite. Jocelyn and Salva treated us like family our entire stay. It was wondeful to enjoy breakfast with them each morning. Even with the slight language barrier, we had such an enjoyable time. The bed and breakfast is so centrally located - just meters from the hospices de beaune. We could walk everyhwhere (restaurants, shopping, landmarks, etc) and the onsite parking was great. We were a bit confused coming in on where the actual b&B was/parking but we just called upon arrival and were directed through the main gate. All of the little details make this a truly great place to stay. My mom and I would recommend this to everyone!

Wonderful stay - felt like family!

This may be the best BnB we have ever stayed in.  There are a total of three rooms and they are all in a standalone building with its separate entrance.  The building was the original Beaune walled city toll house.  The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable.  The common spaces include the breakfast room and multiple outdoor seating areas.  All are beautiful.  But the highlight of the stay is the hosts, Jocelyne and Salva.  They are friendly, gracious, and a joy to talk with.  We spent 5 nights at L’Octroi Saint Jacques and by the end we felt like family.

Fantastic Bed and Breakfast

A wonderful place to stay.. about 150 mètres from thé centre of this lovely town.. Beautifully furnished rooms and à great bathroom. Thé owners are absolutely very interesting and delightful.. Breakfast was amazing, à huge spread, delicious homemade jams etc.
We were en route to Bern, so unfortunately couldn't stay longer. Next time we will just go there for our few days off.. À Joy -Thank you

A fabulous B&B

I am on the train after having left L’Octroi Saint Jacques, and I have to share what a phenomenal experience we had. The level of genuine hospitality from Jocelyne and Salva is unsurpassed. When we arrived for check-in, they both walked out the front door and greeted us like we were family returning home. Both speak very little English, and we speak very little French, but that was never an issue; kindness is universally understood. 

We stayed in the Suite Louisiane, and it was perfect for us. The bed was comfortable. The option to have air conditioning, which we did not need at all in late September, was greatly appreciated. The bathroom is large with two sinks, a standing shower, a soaking tub, and a separate toilet room. 

Jocelyne and Salva prepare a daily breakfast at 8:30, and it is delicious. Fresh baguettes, croissants, fruits, cereals, charcuterie, coffee, juice, and if you’re lucky, a special treat to some of Salva’s cognac. Don’t miss breakfast! 

The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. Each night, we sat in the garden, lit some of the candles they have on the patio, drank a bottle of wine we purchased that day, and simply relaxed.

The day before the morning of our departure, we let Salva know that we had to leave by 7:00 to catch our train so he would not prepare for us to be at breakfast. We asked him not to worry about us and continue sleeping. However, at 6:55, there was a knock on our door. It was Salva, holding out a bottle of their own wine label for us to take and telling us he had prepared espresso (or expresso, as the French say) for us to start our day. We sure did need it and were gracious for his continued hospitality. 

If traveling to Beaune, look no further; this is where you want to stay!

It doesn’t get any better than this!

Our stay at Octroi St Jacques was fantastic! Breakfast was delicious, the couple that runs the hotel was very sweet, and the location was convenient. Also, the air conditioning worked very well in our room, which was a Godsend during an intense heat wave!

Beautiful B&B in old Beaune!

We had a wonderful few days with owners Jacques and Jocelyne at L’Octroi St Jacques. The rooms were beautifully furnished and overlooked their lovely courtyard.   Breakfast was a mix of croissants, cheese, eggs, yummy jams, and yogurt with the company of our hosts. We were able to use the breakfast patio to put together our lunch.  They gave us each a bottle of wine with their wine label. Overall, a spectacular few days here in Beaune.

Wonderful B and B with charming owners

Quaint hotel right on the circle center so location is optimal and it is near everything. 10 minute walk from train station. Owners are delightful and serve you breakfast themselves. Breakfast time food is fresh and amazing. Bathrooms are five very upgraded and rooms comfy.

Great place to saty

Lovely stay in Beaune within this charming B&B. Great size room, hot bath after a cold day out, lovely and generous breakfast! Located in the heart of Beaune - a short walk to the Hospice, restaurants and shops. Our hosts Jocelyne and Salva were delightful and so generous. We spoke very little French however we managed to communicate thanks to their patience and understanding!

Lovely B&B in Beaune

We just had a lovely stay in Beaune. Very convenient location, private parking, nice and clean room... but what makes it the best stay is the warm welcome by lovely couple Jocelyn and Salva. They make you feel at home, serve excellent breakfast, give good recommendations and are always ready to help.
