Great place to stay: friendly genuine staff, large and comfortable rooms. Great panoramic view of the town and area. Manager was so helpful and friendly showing us the Churches and local coffee and juice bars. Great tours with very knowledgeable guides. Excellent airport shuttle services. An experience for life,  thanks very much!

The rooms and views vary and I think we had one of the larger rooms with a large bathroom. It was clean with comfortable beds. We both slept very well.

The view was out a sliding glass door that was our only entry and we had a nice patio, too, but it was the entry to our room and people walked by to their rooms -so it wasn't very private and we had to pull the curtains while in the room for privacy - thus blocking the view.

The staff was helpful and the complimentary breakfast was nice. I can't quite put my finger on it, but their coffee was especially good.

We were able to get quickly to and from the rock-hewn churches from there by Tuk-Tuk taxi - not really walking distance - but good accessibility. The local guides we spoke with agreed that we were staying at one of the better places in town with reliable staff.

We had a great time in our trip to Lalibela. 
The location is perfect although far from the busy town. For us it was a plus! Also the amazing views from the room , cafe and restaurant make it a unique place! 
The personal was more than attentive and friendly. Many thanks to the dedication and kindness from the spectacular employees there specially the kindness of Medi Lovely and Tigst and the dedication from the great chef Mekuanint.
His food ( Ethiopian dishes) are delicious!

Lalibela lodge is an attractive hotel, with great view, large reception area, truly excellent food, good breakfast, cheerful and helpful staff, large rooms with furniture in traditional style- Most warmly recommended

In every way it has been a wonderful experience. 
The Lodge is very close to the Churches, the staff is very polite, kind and professional, the food delicious, the rooms very confortable and the owner, Habtamu, a marvelous person. Also he arranged for me everything and he got me a very professional guide for the visit.

Friendly staff and manager, wonderful room/lodge with magnificent view, beautiful gardens... Very quiet. As we had a private driver, it was no problem the hotel is not situated in the city center. George Bush senior stayed here.

Lovely hotel with clean and spacious rooms furnished with local flavour, some set in a sunny garden. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast with views. Convenient walking distance to the churches,but quiet and relaxing vibe. The owner, Habtamu, kindly organised trips and guides.

A lovely hotel with great views - our room was really nice with huge comfortable bed and lovely furniture designed to fit with the surroundings. The balcony had great views. Mr Habtamu the owner was very helpful and helped arranged our tour - re-arranging for us with a very good price when the previous tour guide had not worked out. Definitely far better value than the other hotel we looked at who were hard to communicate with. The food was not the best but cheerful service

This is a very nice hotel in a cozy setting with very personal service. The rooms are very clean and spacious with large windows overlooking the town with views of the Lalibela historic sites. The owner, Mr. Habtamu, is a very personable and accessible individual there to provide a very professional service. All staff members are also very nice. They are also a self sustaining Hotel growing most of  their food on premises and also use a robust water conservation system. While you're there,  don't forget to check out Ben Abeba restaurant which is a few minutes of Tuk Tuk ride or a short walk from the Hotel. Enjoy your stay.

I really enjoyed staying there and wish to go back  again the hotel / room is very clean quite and simple,  the food was very delicious,  staff are very kind they make you feel home they are all as family. I highly recommend this hotel you will not regret it 😊
