After traveling for 2 1/2 days to reach Cairo, the Fairmont Nile City was our luxurious oasis! It was convenient that the hotel had many excellent restaurants to choose from. We decided on Gingko (Peruvian cuisine and sushi!) for our "sunset-over-the-Nile" terrace dining. Excellent choice---the food was so delicious! The cocktails looked beautiful. After dinner, we fell asleep quickly on the comfortable medium-firm bed. Breakfast the next morning at L'uliveto made us feel like we were in heaven! The exquisite French pastries, fresh fruits and juices, salads, breads, omelet station, main dishes, and Egyptian cuisine were a sight to behold. However, what took it over the top was our smiling waiter, Bassem! He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel special and welcome in Egypt. One person can make a difference! Thank you, Bassem, for welcoming us to Cairo and the Fairmont Nile! Excellent hotel with excellent rooms, service, dining options, awesome staff, amenities, and perfect location! We felt safe with all the security. We would highly recommend this hotel!
