This is a $40 a night property. It is beyond expectations, clean, private bathroom, daily room service, WiFi,refrigerator in the room. You can get water and fill your empty bottles from the owner. Be aware this is not a hostel but a small hotel. I see reviews of people complaining about these sort of places. They think they should get the ritz Carlton. It is also just 2 blocks away from the central square where the taxi let me off from the airport

This hostel is located just a few blocks from the main port so any point you may want to reach is located close by. Tortuga Bay is 2.5. km away and the Darwin Research Center is 1km.

Tours are offered by the owners and my friend and I took a great trip to the highlands with the owner.  He pointed out plants and sights of interest and also served as our guide in the lava tubes and on the tortoise reserve.

It was one of the least expensive tours in town at $45 for two people and was an absolute highlight of the trip.

The rooms are spacious, brightly decorated and have a refrigerator which is a big plus in this region but hard to find in hotels and hostels.

The early check in time of 11AM is very convenient if you are arriving by ferry from one of the other islands.  And there is a water station in the lobby for refills which is convenient. 

And again, the owners and staff members are very friendly and welcoming and they appreciate garbled attempts at Spanish if you don't happen to be a fluent speaker. 

Friendly staff and centrally located

Although we arrived without a reservation, the helpful host assigned us a room immediately. It was not available for all 3 nights that we wanted to stay, but he moved us to an adjacent room for the next 2 nights. The beds were large and comfortable. Location very convenient.

Excellent option in Puerto Ayora

Hotel is Excellent! Very well located close to everything. Bed is OK and good AC and private bathroom. Excellent Price/Value ratio

Electrical Outlets are usually not located for convenience in most places. Night stands next to beds are often not considered. This goes for most places. I would stay definitely here again, but I would definitely bring my own extension cable and power strip on all my future trips regardless of what country I decide to visit.

Hotel Germania is great.

This place was our favorite on our 17 day “road trip” through Ecuador. Room #1 had a large room, lots of places to put clothes and things, huge bathroom with big shower (and hot water!) air conditioning, king bed and a shared balcony. We did a tour of the turtle farm with the owner, Raphael, and he also took us to the airport on our day of departure. It was a perfect spot for us.

Surprisingly well cleaned room, friendly staff, good value for money. Good location. Couldn't pay with credit card, and slow, but free wi-fi. Room balcony was shared, not private.

Very clean room and friendly staff

Good hotel. Large room. Working air conditioning and wifi in room. Free bottled water. Owner was helpful and friendly and spoke English. Not available at all hours so plan accordingly. Close to the trail to Tortuga Bay.

good hotel at edge of Puerto Ayora

Great location, very clean, wifi and hot water were adequate. Raphael, was always very gracious and took us on a tour one day. He was a good host. Access to drinkable water was restricted to the locked office area and was empty on 2 of the 7 days. Very noisy at 6 am when local traffic starts up. 2 nights loud local parties went until 1:15 and 2:30 in the morning. If noise does not bother you during the night, this is a great value.

Nd good value

It was quick and easy to walk from here to the two main streets in Puerto Ayora. Not only were the facilities immaculate, but the second story balcony is a pleasant place to pass some time. If the WiFi isn’t very good, that seems pretty ubiquitous on Santa Cruz, and the shower was better than expected.
