We enjoyed our stay here, especially the great location, the kitchenette, and the free drinking water. It's close to many tour booking agencies, the port, and lots of restaurant options.

Would recommend to a friend

Simple, basic rooms with your own en-suite and cheap and chips. Our own little balcony was gorgeous as well to sit and people watch. The linen and towels were old but it’s another factor which drives down the price. The bed was comfortable and we were so close to everything! A minimart across the road and the tour operator next door. Would definitely stay again

There was no office to check in. Thankfully we meet a nice local who knew the woman who ran the hostel, he was able to call her to give us our key. We meet another couple travelers who had the same problem checking in. Other than that it was a great stay. There was a fridge and hot plate in the room we used to cook breakfast on with their dishes. It was a block away from a street that closes down every night to host all the local food. It was a little loud but every place is doing to be loud in the middle of town. They came in and cleaned every day too.

At first sight you would never want to stay here because it really needs an improvement of the decor and maintenance and improvement of walls, sewage, etc. However it is probably one of the best places we stayed at in the Galapagos for a cheap price. It is close to the main bars, restaurants, mini markets, bike rental places, diving tour sites and it even has a cyber “cafe”. It is very clean, and has a whole set of dishes, glasses, utensils and even a mini kitchenette in your room at your disposal. The room was huge and there is also drinking water available. The only “complaint” was that on our first night they ran out of hot water and the owner was not easy to be found. But as soon as we found him he was ready to help us and solved our issue instantly. 

Great hostel, don’t judge by the appearance 

Good value. Very large room with unexpected kitchen area. However had to ask at local restaurant for owner on arrival and was very noisy street in the night (we stayed on a Friday)

Good Value

I was here for a couple of nights and needed something that was perfectly located within town, but not too expensive. I found this place, which had air conditioning, cable TV and a nicely sized room. I even had a couch in there. I loved they provided free filtered water for their guests too. Everything was an easy walk to anywhere.I wouldn't say it was luxurious, but it was good for what I paid for. It was clean enough. The only down side was the noise coming from the street. But hey, when you want to be in the thick of it, then expect the noise.

Bargain Stay

Good value for the money. Spent four nights in Puerto Ayora and booked here the first night. Decided to stay for another three. Rooms are clean and they only have a few of them so it's not busy. There is pretty much no sound barrier from outside noise so it's pretty loud. Air conditioning works great. Far as I can tell they don't actually offer the meals or the front desk that they claim on here. Over all you get a clean comfortable room. What more can you expect for the price.

Good value

My 2 friends and I stayed at Miconia on 3 separate occasions coming back from the other islands. We had a private room and bathroom for only $10 each per night which is amazing price for galapagos (this was in the off season). They cleaned our room and made our beds each day. They offered free water and ready boiling water. Simple hostel which is all you need on galapagos because most of our day is out exploring and enjoying the beautiful islands.
