We had an excellent stay here at this hostal. The rooms were exactly what we needed . Comfortable beds, clean bathroom and shower. The owners were also very helpful in arranging us a ride to the trailhead of imbabura nearby as well as a ride to Quito .

Very friendly hostal

in my opinion Red las Orquídeas hostel offers comfortable rooms. also is a good place because it is a few blocks from the bus terminal, its restaurant has a carte dishes also typical dishes of the city

The room was small and clean. The bathroom was clean, and the shower was excellent. We had a room facing the road, but the noise was not a problem. Breakfast was good and included in the $30 price.
The location is very good. It's an easy walk to the historic center, but the hotel is in a quiet neighborhood. It's also a short walk to local restaurants, the town market, and the bus station.
We would stay there again if visiting Ibarra.

Clean and friendly

We loved our 3 night stay here in February 2016.  Rooms were comfortable, clean and bright!  We particularly liked the English handout prepared by the staff of the attractions in the surrounding towns.  Taking the bus to Cotacachi and buying some high quality leather goods at reasonable prices was a great experience.  As well, the hotel is within walking distance of the bus station.  Breakfast was tasty; we enjoyed the fresh fruit and eggs and coffee.  A bargain at $2.50 per person.
We would go back to this hostal!!

Great friendly welcoming and helpful staff

I picked this place specifically because of it's close proximity to the Ibarra bus station. I had a 5 AM bus departure and wanted it to be as easy as possible. This hotel is perfect for that. It is literally a 4-minute walk to the station, so no taxi hassle. And the streets are all well lit too -- important for feeling safe at 4:45 AM walking down the street with your luggage. Also essential is this place has 24-hour awake staff. So even though the outer big gate is always locked, someone is right there to unlock it and help you out.

Perfect for early AM bus trip from Ibarra

My husband and I stayed for 3 days for a trip teaching English to teachers in the province. The water is really hot! It's a 2 minute walk from the bus terminal and close to many small stores. The room had a small walkway to the shower which felt a little cramped, but overall great. Ibarra has lots of cute and tasty restaurants in the downtown areas, maybe a 15 minute walk away.
