I had to give one star because I had no chose. I do not recommend this place at all. I was with my friends on January 10. 2021. I had a really bad experience. The food was so bad. We ordered Micheladas as a Drink and they were filled with water, no lemon and no beer at all.

Bad service, bad food, prices so high

From the first moment, staff were incredibly helpful with everything. Very fun nights out with them and when my two friends left and it was only me for a few nights, they always tried to make me feel part of their family. Be careful because this hostel is very hard to leave and I kept booking extra night after extra night. Thanks Montezuma from the three Italians 

Amazing staff and very good location

+ Well located in center of town
+ friendly staff with very good recommendations (eg finding good food)
- 4 bed dorm hardly big enough for 2 people
- breakfast: a farce! 2 almost black toasted pieces of bread, approximately 4 mm thick; served along with half a cup of awful instant coffee and half a scrambled egg :(

Breakfast?

I enjoyed my stay here, met really nice people, breakfast is nice and the room wasn't too noisy considering that they're located at the party street.  Claudio at the bar was amazing and his piñas coladas are the best! Nice shower,  the room smells a bit mouldy but I didn't care. There is a common kitchen but is small and food is really cheap around the area so I didn't cook. They let me had a shower after check out coming back from the beach.  Thanks guys!

Great party hostel! 

Chicas do not stay at this hostal alone, the male workers are not respectful. The worst hostal experience I have had in my life. Also the Cocina is very basic, communal areas lacking... In short this hostal sucks compared to the many other options of the same price. 

Don't stay at the hostal 

We had a great time in montezuma.
The staff there is really nice and cearing and they had a special night in wich they gave the gests free snacks and coctails and had fun competitions bitween us.
the location is right in the center, the rooms are nice and there is a small kitchen.
our only problem was that there were only sometimes hot water.
