So great! Great free breakfast, surf lessons, yoga, helpful friendly staff always. Very cute and zen. Favorite part is that it’s a tiny bit away from the mega parties close to towns center. A 5 minute walk to a little piece of zen in party town Montanita. Only down is that it’s about double the price of all other dorm hostle in town.. still not much but something to consider. 

Great place and great location 

Was a beautiful hotel! The staff is so helpful with all of our needs and the rooms are amazing! Breakfast is included and Juanito the chef never disappoints! The hotel is on the best part of the beach and it’s quiet. We will definitely be back!

The best place to stay in Montañita!

This hostal is pretty. Great location and friendly staff. We paid $30 per night including breakfast. Easy access to the beach and plenty of restaurants around the hostal. 5 minutes in car to get to downtown. Wi Fi was good too. They offer yoga classes too!

Nice location

Casa del Sol brings the BEST vibes in Montanita, it is like a little community, with family breakfasts (served up by the legend Juanito), daily yoga classes, surf, plenty of comfy and cozy seating for working on your laptop or just chilling out. The gardens are so beautiful and lush, there are many hammocks for lounging, and the staff is amazing and friendly. Montanita doesn't get the best reputation but Casa del Sol is a destination in itself, I really felt like I was on a peaceful little yoga retreat. 100% recommend, and can't wait to come back!

Yoga, surf, delicious food, blissful digital nomad paradise

Amazing stay at this fantastic oasis a mere 30 second walk to the beach. I had not planned on going to Montanita and made my reservation on the fly - literally on the bus enroute from Guayaquil - so I wasn't sure what to expect. The property itself is wonderfully decorated with a number of outdoor areas to congregate, including seating areas, a dining area and two bars. My bed was comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water with good water pressure. People were friendly and it was easy to strike up a conversation with other travelers. A benefit for me since I was traveling solo. The best part of my stay however was Jackson and his amazing staff who were willing to help with whatever was needed, from setting up drivers, covid test for return to US, whale watching tours, giving advice on restaurants and every other thing you might need or want. A huge thank you to Jackson, Athena and the rest of the gang at Casa del Sol for making my stay memorable and a ton of fun!

Fantastic Property, Location and Staff

As soon as my taxi drove down the short cobblestone road leading to Casa Del Sol my heart slowed and my mind settled. I knew I had made the right decision. Greeted in person by the ever capable and extremely knowledgeable Jackson who manages Casa Del Sol and the owner Tamara gave me a true sense of being welcomed. Located 20 m. or 1 block off the ocean and nestled in a forest of tropical vegetation Casa Del Sol has the perfect mix of sun and shade, beach and forest.
Easy walking distance to Montañita but yet far enough away from the excitement and party atmosphere to give you some peace and quiet when needed. There are all sorts of places to eat and drink close by as well as a sushi restaurant right across the street (yes really). Accommodations at Casa Del Sol are diverse and can accommodate the full range of budgets and tastes. Something for everyone. The breakfasts that are served daily by the very talented Juanito are included with the room and are exceptionally good. Nice way to start the day. The kitchen is also available for guest use if that’s your thing as well. Casa Del Sol is a top notch well run clean accommodation that leaves very little to be desired. I would highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again. Thank you Tamara, Jackson and the whole team for an amazing journey...🙏

First impressions sometimes do tell the whole story.

Awesome place. Location is perfect, just far enough from the noise that you can sleep peacefully, but within striking distance. They have in house yoga thats so good, a whole bunch of locals stream in daily. Food is awesome. Surf boards on site and right across from the beach. The staff is really sweet and chill too (like concierge, bartender, yoga master built in one). Also, great place to meet and chill with fellow travelers Thanks so much!

Easy Breezy Choice

I love this spot. The team here was super nice and helpful throughout my entire 28-day stay. The rooms are clean and provide the necessities, including AC if you're here when it's hot. The food was fantastic, with delicious vegetarian options prepared daily. Water and coffee are also available throughout the day. My favorite part: the location. A 30-second walk gets you to the beach. You're only a 10-minute walk from the town, so it's quiet at the hotel, but if you want the activity of the town, you're about a kilometer away, which I found to be perfect. There are a couple of restaurant options closer than town too. Would absolutely stay here again if I make it back to Montanita!

Love this place!

Loved it! Great for solo travellers, great location if you want to be a little off the main bars/clubs, great for relaxation and, most importantly, a good laugh (just talk to Jackson or spend some time at the bar). Daniela was super helpful and available for any questions. Breakfast was delicious and the ambient in general is marvellous. I had i hard time leaving ;(

A business is only as good as the people that hold it together and casa de sol has some good people there. Jackson Jessica and Danny are some of the best people I have ever met! They made me feel comfortable and welcome. They truly made my trip special (so special I came back lol) the rooms were comfortable, the breakfast were healthy and delicious, and don't get me started on the yoga classes... They were challenging and accessible and the teachers were supportive and encouraged every one to try but never pushed anyone to do something that could injure them. I made some beautiful memories there and I would DEFINITELY recommend people to try it out. I know I'm coming back next year!
