Villa Strandly was a very positive experience, mostly due to the Wonderfull people that owns it.  We instantly felt welcome and enjoyed the charming company of the hostess Christina and her family. 

The Bed & Breakfast is located just next to the central city of Løkken, almost on the beach.  Perfect location.  Price was very reasonable, even in high season, and contained a lovely breakfast.  We recommend this place from the heart.

We decided to travel the northern coast of Denmark last summer. A part of the fun for us, by taking a trip like that, was to not book hotels etc. in advance, but just check in somewhere when we needed to stay the night. Now, before we took the trip, some friends of us had actually recommended the city of Løkken, so we decided to go there at some point - but as I said, we didn't book anything in advance. 

So, by chance, we found ourselves staying in Villa Strandly. The building is nestled between the main shopping/restaurant street in Løkken and the beach. It was *almost* difficult to find, were it not for having GPS on the phone! From the outside, the place looks like a small, private residential building (which it probably is/was), and as such, you won't find it if you're looking for a place that screams "this is a hotel". Don't get me wrong, I liked that about it. It's cozy, but kinda unconventional! Upon entering the place, we got the feeling that we stepped into someone's living room, which I also guess is true. We were greeted by a very friendly woman, and taken upstairs to our room. Interesting touch: The door to our room was fitted with a porcelain plaque with our last name on it!
The woman then told us about the breakfast hours, and asked us when we would like ours(!). Yes, apparently they make homemade breakfast for visitors, within a certain timeframe. If you wanted to get up later, the kitchen downstairs was yours to use. But trust me, the homemade breakfast is well worth it! Nothing like bread, buns and bread rolls fresh from the oven to accompany your morning coffee. In essence, the breakfast is excellent.

The room we got was small and cozy - a bed, windows, coffee table w/chairs and a separate bathroom with toilet, sink and bathtub, which is ideal after a trip to the beautiful yet very windy and sandy beach! The room was all nice and clean. The only minor gripe I have is the length of the bed in our particular room. I'm 183cm, and for me, it was a little short. Other than that, it was very good.

There's no minibar in the room obviously, but the kitchen fridge downstairs served as a common/shared minibar, stocked with beer and wine, for which you'll have to pay if you want anything, of course. Note that alcohol in Denmark is reasonably cheap, and this was no exception, minibar or not!

Other amenities include a small parking space (though there are plenty of nearby places to park as well, and you really don't need a car in Løkken except for when you arrive and depart) and a small common area outside for you to enjoy a cold beer with your friends. Free Wi-Fi.

To sum up, this was great little place to stay. It might easily be overlooked because it lies in the "shadows" of physically much larger hotels, but make no mistake, this is just as good a place to spend the night. The location is ideal, the service excellent. It didn't exactly strain our budget, either, and with a breakfast like that, you won't regret staying there.

Booked this accommodation more than a month in advance and wasn't really sure what to expect.
We were met by Charlotte when we arrived and trying to navigate the narrow streets of Løkken. She came out of the house and helped us with the parking and our luggage. The B&B is really homely and you basically walk through the family kitchen to get to the rooms upstairs. The room was big and cozy (hyggelig) and we immediately felt at home here. The location is super for Løkken as it is right in the middle of everything. You are 2 minutes from the Main Street with its overflow of shops and restaurants and also just behind the dunes one stone throw from the beach.
If you like an intimate family feel to your B&B you will not regret if you book a room at Charlotte and Christian at Villa Strandly.
