Guldbjerghus bed and breakfast

We took a last minute trip to Denmark to attend a family funeral. We were, luckily, able to get reservations at Guldbjerghus while we were there. Hanne and Otto were amazing hosts. The location is beautiful and quiet. For several days, my husband and I had Room 2 (a room with a private external bathroom). The room was clean and spacious and our bathroom was just across the hall. When our two adult children arrived, we were able to reserve Room 1 as well. It has a private bathroom, so we shared the entire upstairs area of the house. It was perfect for our little family. As others have mentioned, the breakfasts were scrumptious! All the food is homemade... fresh OJ, yogurt with jam and muesli (I would love the recipe for that fabulous muesli!), scrambled eggs with bacon or sausage and a veggie, and a huge tray of assorted home-baked breads (try the stone age bread..yum!), cheese, meat, honey, jam, fruit, and usually a danish specialty like frikadeller or leverpostej. All served with french-press coffee or hot tea and a sweet crepe or cake. We never left hungry! Highly recommend this lovely accomodation! Thanks Hanne and Otto!
