I booked one night at the hostel. After reading the reviews I was about to cancel it. But I changed my mind! If you know what to expect, you'll be able to cope better. So, the dormitory is old as well as the equipment in the room. The shower and toilets are not male and female.There were plenty of other people, so I didn't feel  insecure. There is no chance to make a cup of tea- no kettle. The hallway is a bit noisier when people talking in and from the showers. The reception is in other building. There is a towel provided.

When you know what to expect

The young man at the reception was very nice and spoke English well enough. The rooms were also decent and seemed clean. The bathrooms however were horrible. The toilet stalls and showers could not be locked and the toilets themselves were rarely cleaned. We did our best to avoid the bathrooms all together. Despite this, we knew what we were getting ourselved into as this hostel is incredibly cheap and therefore the quality of the hostel was to be expected. 

Ehm.. the staff was friendly?

When we arrived it all seemed very nice. The guy at the reception was really friendly, pointed us to our room. The room itself was okay, we had 3 beds even though there were two of us, and it was clean enough. But then we went to the bathroom, the bathroom was gross, the toilets (which you could not lock) were dirty, the shower was questionable, and all in all, this was the only down point of our trip to Prague.
