We stayed at this hotel for our honeymoon, friendly staff and ready for every need, exchange of money, etc. The hotel is very characteristic and has an excellent location for those who want to visit the center of Havana.

Very characteristic hotel and friendly staff.

It's a wonderful hotel entirely in Liberty style: lamps, furniture, mirrors, elevators...it's all in Art Deco style and for those who love it, it's really a dive into the past. The ceiling is simply amazing and the hall is often photographed by tourists who meet it by chance. I myself saw it while you were at the bishop's street corner and I fell in love with it. So the last night in Cuba I wanted to spend it here. The rooms are old, with original floors, but in my bathroom it's been remodeled and it's comfortable and comfortable. My room was rather air conditioned but it was also cool with the balcony open.

A must-see in the heart of Havana

Central hotel in Old Havana from where you can walk to a variety of places of interest spacious and clean room yet simple and super friendly and attentive staff a beautiful hotel full of history that I highly recommend.

It's a beautiful central hotel.

Hotel Raquel is a destination in itself. The building is simply magnificent and the perfect antidote to a Holiday Inn Express or similar. It contains some memorable works of art and a venerable lift, a spectacular roof terrace and some beautiful stained glass.

The signage suggested there were some spa facilities in the basement but alas I think this originates from an earlier era. On the practical side, the Wifi was  limited and unreliable and the breakfast service was a bit disorganised

A spectacle in itself

We've been a friend and I stayed at this hotel for a few days and we couldn't be happier.The hotel is beautiful, the room that touched us was big, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was very varied.But if there's anything that makes this hotel amazing, it's the people who work at it.Charming people, always with a smile and super attentive to everything that was great.I would definitely repeat it at this hotel!

The best personal I've ever seen.

Everything was a disaster from start to finish.

Breakfast was terrible with many flies flying around. Some of the fruit had even gone bad but was still ok display, almost like they didn't change the breakfast buffet for weeks.

Hotel WIFI works for about 3 seconds. Terrible. And we're talking about Havana, which has the most accessibility to Internet but even upon informing reception about the connectivity issues, they were not bothered. Very difficult to connect.
The room's toilet was broken. The AC didnt work at all. They sent a man to fix the toilet but the AC was disastrous. It was very old too. Receptionist was always smoking with her friends / colleagues so it was difficult to get any attention. Exchange rate is terrible - do not change money here. They also recommended us a few restaurants which were clearly tourist traps.


Terrible WiFi, breakfast and no customer service

The hotel is very well situated and its architecture! the bedroom and bathroom are rather old and the household leaves to be desired!.. run for breakfast very good memory in this place we had the chance to meet our guide Rosa iris which is exceptional 1000 thanks Rosa you are like Cuba authentic bedroom and bathroom rather old

Mediocre

I can't understand the negative reviews here. I'd like to stay at the Hotel Raquel anytime. The rooms are clean, tidy and the bathroom is in very good condition. I stayed on the second floor and everything worked perfectly. The breakfast buffet is great, there's nothing missing.

Good accommodation in the heart of old Havana Viejo

There is positive and negative at this hotel, the building has its colonial past charms and very nice details, bring you back many years ago.
Refurbishments would be more than welcome all over!
We didn't take the lift an historical Masterpiece!
To conclude was ok for one night as we were just stopping over La havana 


OK FOR ONE NIGHT 

We stayed 2 nights arriving from Italy in this hotel booked earlier. The structure is impressive but the rooms are old and uncomfortable. The bathroom to forget, the cleaning service has left to desire. Breakfast to forget, bar service unqualified and very expensive!! The only positive notes are the very central location two steps from Plaza Veja and the presence of Ricardo who helped us to organize much of our trip... Thank you Ricardo very valuable help. Go to private houses.. Much cheaper and cleaner
