Marija, the owner of the apartment contacted us prior to arriving, to ask what time to expect us for our three night stay.  I informed her of the time our ferry should be arriving from Split and so when we arrived she was available to greet us and show us to our room.  Be aware that this apartment is about a ten minute walk from the port/old town. Whilst it's not a difficult walk, you do have to walk up a lot of stairs from the old town and it is then an an uphill walk to the apartment.  Once found, it was completely worth the walk in midday heat!  (Look for the green building).  We had the loft room and the view from the balcony overlooking the port and the old town was fantastic.  We had a nice sized balcony with comfortable seating, a clothes drier and an umbrella which we could sit at to enjoy our coffee in the morning and a glass of wine as we watched the boats moor up for the day in the port and the sun setting over the old town.  For the views, the climb is absolutely worth it.  Marija was a lovely host to us.  On arrival she showed us around the apartment, gave us some tips on local things to see and do, as well as left us a welcome cake in the fridge which was delicious.  We had arrived at midday, so after our trek from the port we were very hot. We asked her where the nearest shop was.  She explained it was back in the old town.  On seeing our faces she asked what we needed and we told her we were so hot we just needed some water.  She asked if we wanted still or sparkling and went down to her own apartment to fetch us a bottle.  Marija also offers a laundry service for free, which we were extremely grateful of.  This isn't a negative point, but be aware there are a fair amount of steps and an uphill climb to walk to this apartment from the old town. I wouldn't recommend if you have any mobility issues. Also, I would possibly not book the loft room if you are very tall as some of the ceilings are low with loft beams. I'm not tall but I occasionally caught my head, so if you're tall maybe book one of the lower rooms.  If returning to Hvar I would absolutely stay at these apartments again, a wonderful stay was had courtesy of Marija.

Worth the walk for fantastic views!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 nights and found it was perfect for what we needed. It’s about a 10 minute walk up an inclined path, which was a bit of a killer with the suitcase on the first day, but you’re rewarded with an amazing view of the harbour and town, plus Marija kindly left cake for us in our fridge which went down a treat. 
Yes the rooms are a little basic, but seeing as we don’t go on holiday to stay cooped up inside it suited us perfectly. The only slight issue I had was the the curtains were very see through and didnt cover the whole window, which meant the men next door could easily see into our room from their balcony. 
On our last day the host was very accommodating with letting us leave our suitcases there during the day so we could go off and explore, plus she then brought the cases to us at the port to avoid us having to go back and collect them which we were really grateful for.
All in all it’s great value for money and we’d definitely stay there again. 

Great stay!

We stayed here for one night for a quick visit to Hvar and the apartment was very good value for the low price we paid. It’s very dated accommodation and there were some small issues like the socket in the bathroom not working but nothing which spoilt our stay.

It was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had 2 private balcony’s which gave amazing views of the harbour. The owner was very friendly and helpful on check in, leaving us cake in the fridge and providing information on the area. We couldn’t find anyone to check out with when we left despite giving our check out time the night before so ended up just leaving our key where we could but again this was a minor issue.

Excellent value accommodation 

We arrived here on Thursday 4/3 and stayed for 2 nights.  We were greeted by the owner Marija who was lovely.  She had a fresh bowl of fruit on the table and juice in the fridge for us.  Very kind. The apartment was a small efficiency with two balconies with a view of Hvar Town.  If you don't like to walk or can't walk well, you will definitely need a ride to and from town.  This place is on the side of the mountain many many steps up from town.  We are very active people so for us it was great.  The wi-fi didn't work at all while we were there and the bed was a bit stiff but it was very clean and the shower was good.

Great value, amazing view

We stayed here for 4 nights and had an apartment on the top floor. The view was lovely and the balcony had the sun for most of the day. The owner was friendly and helpful and the apartment is quite modern with fridge, cooker, air con and TV. This was all we needed really. Towels and sheets were changed after two days and we had home made cake waiting for us on arrival which was nice.

The location is good as it's a 5 min walk out of the main square but it is uphill. Not a problem although was quite tough when arriving with the suitcases and trying to find the apartments in the dark as there was no sign.

The only other complaints were the shower which only had a holder at waist level which held the shower head vertically which isn't much use. You need to hold it above your head yourself. Would be nice to have a full length mirror too.

Also, there isn't much privacy between our balcony and the balcony of the apartment next door so a bit awkward when you are both out there.

Otherwise, all good and would stay again.

Good view, nice apartment, not easy to find.

Stayed here for a single night in June having arrived from Split.

The trek up from the harbour area is a bit arduous particularly with two 20kg bags that Noodle won’t help with. It’s about a 10 minute walk but it’s quite uphill with a fair amount of steps. You can actually see the apartments from the harbour - look up and to your left slightly: it’s the yellow building peering down at you.

It’s quite informal and I think the hostess, Marije, lives on the bottom floor. We rang the doorbell and walked into her front room. We were then taken upstairs (more stairs!) to the top floor to find cake waiting for us and a lovely cool room.

It is a little bit basic but for only one night we can’t really complain. There are two balconies, a basic kitchenette area (complete with fridge and freezer) and plenty of space. The bathroom was probably installed in the communist era and scrimps on the basic needs of the individual - there’s no fixture for the shower head to stay above you in the wall so washing is akin to how you would wash a dog. The sinks etc are all a bit dated too.

Bed was large and comfy enough and had no problems with noise until the church bells at 6am on a Tuesday morning (I slept through them, Noodle did not..).

No idea what you’re supposed to do on checkout as Marija wasn’t in so we had to just leave the keys and get going as we had a boat to catch.

Generally favourable, fine for what we wanted.

Cheap and Cheerful

We had the apartment on the top floor and the view is amazing. There was no privacy between our balcony and the one next door, fortunately our neighbours didnt use the balcony. We didnt sleep well during our stay there because the beds were way too hard, there was no air condition in the bedroom and our neighbours were quite noisy. The cleaning was pretty poor.  Other than that the hostess was so nice, the location is perfect and it was cheap.
